Ove Decors Breeze 36 in. Tempered Sliding Glass Shower Door Kit with Acrylic Base, Inch, Chrome

We hesitated to purchase this because of the many reviews indicating how difficult it was to install. But it was really the only product that would work for what we wanted so purchased anyway. My husband and I installed it ourselves. He is very handy and it wasn't as hard as we thought after reading the reviews. We definitely had to watch the video the give you the link for several times and sort of figure some of it out on our own, but it turned out great! One tip: Install walls over drywall but cut out the drywall for the shower pan so it fits up against the studs. That way your walls will fit snuggly against the drywall. We also added a board behind the very edges. Their instructions say to put the outermost one something like 3 1/2 inches in, but we added another to secure the edges and be more stable for attaching the glass walls.

Description of shipped material:The shower unit came shipped in 3 packages. Two of which had the class doors while the other had the walls and base. The glass is very heavy. The items were packed very well by the manufacturer. I had NO issues with the condition of the items. I removed each piece and inspected them upon arrival, as recommended.Instructions:The instructions on installation were lacking about how to affix the walls of the shower to the walls of the bathroom. They were missing dimensions and depths on the pictures in the instructions about mounting.-The base, in the instructions, was a different design than that which I received. The base must have been redesigned and strengthened. It handled weight well when I walked around the should base, felt firm and did not flex.-Cutting holes for the faucet handles was easy once the proper location was measured. Knowing how far the handle would stick out was difficult to measure.Despite this item being a modular unit, from the outside, once installed, it looks very well put together. A good carpenter will help hide the imperfections.This unit can be installed in a location where dry wall has already been installed. The use of molding or caulking can fill the gaps.Ease of installation:The base was easy to install. I had to shave down some material where it mated up to the wall to ensure that it was level. The walls were more difficult to install as this was being installed over drywall. To ensure the walls would stay in place, construction adhesive was used between the wood supports and the back side of the wall stands.

The item looks really nice after it is installed, however getting it installed is not an easy task. Not because you need a second person, but because the instructions have errors in them that can cause you to put part of the unit together and then have to take apart and redo after you realize the instructions were not clear or were in error. In fact, I even called the manufacturer to let them know about the incorrect instructions. I mentioned to them the that the video they refer to in the instructions was incorrect. And they said they would send me a link to the updated video, but they never did. :>(So we just figured it out on our own.One major challenge is mounting the two plastic panels to the wall. The unit design does not lend itself to having both plastic panels be sturdy against the wall because of the contours in the plastic. We had to improvise and install some additional wood behind the panels so that they would not flex so much (up to 3 inches without the additional wood. In my opinion, this is the biggest flaw (besides the incorrect instructions).Once the unit is in place it looks really nice. However, it was very small once I put it together and got on the inside. I would not recommend this size (32 inch) unless it is going to be used for children or your bathroom is so small that you can only accommodate this size. I am not a large person (5' 7", 168 lbs) and I felt cramped inside with my elbows touching the sides when I would bend over to attempt to wash my legs.NOTE: IF YOUR WALLS ARE NOT PERFECTLY STRAIGHT, I WOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THIS UNIT. IT REQUIRES THAT THE TWO ADJACENT WALLS IN THE CORNER WHERE YOU INSTALL IT BE STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN AND VERY NEAR 90 DEGREES TO EACH OTHER. ATTEMPTING OTHERWISE IS ONLY GOING TO CAUSE YOU PROBLEMS.

Love this shower--it is gorgeous and fits into a tight space with excellent feng shui. I should say, though, that it is quite small (the 31 x 31 size). Large-bodied people would be pressed against the glass! Kind of hard to clean, too, to make sure there are no spots between the sliding doors. Perfect for a guest bathroom; it can allow you to fit a full bathroom in a half-bathroom-sized space. I had mine professionally installed and they had no trouble with it; not sure how hard it would be for a DIY installation.

Positives were, was shipped quickly, good use of space, seems to be good quality, looked nice once installed and rollers were nice quality. Negatives were, directions were lacking, none of the screws bags were marked with letters so the directions were even harder to make sense of. They say the door is reversible but the directions are one for a right handed installation so hard to use for a left handed installation. Overall pretty nice though.

Great size. Huge. The first bottom piece was unusable but they sent a replacement. It was slightly damaged but still usable. (Was described that way on listing) I got this for a discounted price. The shower itself isn't super high quality but its decent. You definitely have to add wood behind the walls to support it. We saw this in other reviews and it was helpful. I'm overall happy with this shower kit. For $500 it saved us a lot of money and is perfect for a basement shower. Glad I found this.

nice doors. look really nice. the shipping was good, it seems sturdy. the doors roll real smooth. but, I would suggest that you buy a larger one. I was going to buy the 31 inch unit, but I figured it might b a little small, so I bought the 34 inch doors. even those r a little snug. so i'd buy at least a 34 inch, if I were to buy another, i'd buy the 36 or larger.
