I bought this awesome unit a few weeks ago and I have had a blast with it. The item arrived quicker than expected and seller followed up to get my inputs and to make sure I am happy with my purchase.When comparing to other brands, this thing is the best bang for your buck, it feels sturdy and made from good material. Works right out of the box and comes with clear instructions.Make sure to check under the box, there as a nice pouch hidden down there which hooks to your work belt and it stores and keeps it away from dust or protects from other objects if its in your tool box. Nice touch...Pros:1- You can take simple measurements between point A and point B, it can calculate area (if you measure W and L) and volume (if you measure WxLxH)2- Very easy to use, precise, fits easy in the pocket or in the pouch.3- The multi-function feature can calculate so many things: area, volume, height using Pythagorean calculations, continuous measurements which is probably the coolest feature as you don't need to memorize your previous measurements. according to the manual, it can store up to 50 measurements!4- Easy switch between imperial and metric. I have a metric mind but for house projects I like to use inches. Cant be happier that I don't need to calculate the conversions any more.5- Unit comes with easy and simple to read English and not like some confusing translated manuals. It takes just 10 minutes to learn all the ins and outs, or you can just start measuring right out of the box with one click!Cons:They say these laser units may struggle in sunlight but just today I measured the distance between my fences and it was accurate and right-on. It was cloudy though. I will have to check it again on a sunny day to see how it works. But that said, not a big deal for me as I know expensive units are not any better whatever they claim.I think this is the best laser measuring device out there and no other product will beat this well thought out product for what it does, and especially at this price point. I strongly recommend it, you will not regret it…

Good product, easy to use and fairly accurate, no more messy measuring tapes. Just beam it and you can get the size of the area you want to know, would recommend this product anytime.

I was in the market for a laser distance measuring tool and settled on the Strong Impact 40. The interface is intuitive and the measurements very accurate. I love the fact that you can see the last 3 measurements on the LCD for quick reference. Easily switches between units of measurement. But what really impresses everyone I show is the fact that it can do area and volume instantly. This has been a HUGE timesaver in having to measure objects or room sizes. It's been the envy of my friends and will be a stocking stuffer. Great product, well thought through, easy to use and handles great. I would strongly recommend it to anyone in the market for a laser measurement tool.

Actually, owning one of these was kind of dream to me.Big brands sell there devices with same functionality in double price.This one is very accurate and easy to use. I don't regret purchasing this great device.It has this cool feature where measuring point starts, either from top of it (where laser diode is) or bottom (i.e where you place the device on the wall horizontally).The results are very quick, maybe < or == a second.I'm amazed.

Simple to use and inexpensive

It starts up on meters, that's good if you don't live in the US or the u.k. Many and slow keystroke response to always switch to feet. Very annoying! It maybe accurate but not for me.

I bought this to make quick measurements without having to pull out the tape measure. It did not disappoint. Quick and accurate, easy to use if you read the instructions. Very affordable, every handyman could make good use of this tool.

This is a great tool to replace my tape measure. Was able to figure out how big of a container I could buy with this by pointing rather than pulling and reading. This is a life changer.
