The controls are very good on this. The blanket takes a lot longer to heat up than my previous one that had a turbo heat setting but as long as you put it on a half hour before, maybe less, it should be fine.However I was very disappointed they did not include the strings to secure it to be the mattress despite having the loops for it. Who would but an electric blanket from one place and then purchase the securing strings from somewhere else. This is such a cheap element so why not include it like other companies? This results in the blanket keep moving getting in and out of bed and invariable the blanket then gets crushed getting caught in the bed frame.

If you live in an old house you struggle to keep warm, this is a great buy.It was particularly purchased for the digital controls that allow you to switch it on and go off after anything from 1 to 8 hours.Dual zones are also great.The only problem is it's absolutly massive and only just fits on our double.

Heats up quickly. Didn’t hike up my electricity bill. Great control of the dual use, I can heat up my side whilst my husband keeps his side cool.The timer is also a nice touch, I didn’t figure it out as quickly as I wanted to as there was no manual. But google always helps.

Using only one side at the moment and it's a smaller area than half the bed that heats

Haven't got a chance to use it until late when the weather becomes cold. It fits double-bed perfectly, in that you can even choose which 'half' to heat up. It takes about 30 min to heat up. Nice product for someone like me who fears cold.

There is little to choose between types of electric blankets, this one fits the matress well, is simple to operate and does what is said on the instructions.
