Application 1. Wash the area receiving tattoo or laser treatment with soap and water. Dry area completely. 2. Apply a thick amount of numbing cream to the area and rub in thoroughly. 3. After rubbing into the skin, apply a 2nd heavy layer of cream (1/8" or 3-5 mm thick) over the area. 4. Cover the cream with plastic wrap (saran wrap). The heat under the plastic wrap helps activate the cream. and keeps the cream form drying off. 5. Leave cream and wrap in place for 2 hours before procedure. For long procedures lasting hours over large areas; apply UltraNumb over the entire work area, then remove in sections as procedure progresses. 6. Skin typically remains numb for 3-4 hours once cream is removed from numbed skin depending on skin type and location on body.

After three full back piece tattoo sessions hubby couldn't take any more and finally took his artists suggestion to get some numbing cream so he could get in some more of the hours that he pays for with each day long session. Worked very well!

Ok so I used the whole tube on a back piece (30% of my middle back). A good portion of the tattoo was next to painless some places hurt a little while others were full on pain. If you are getting a small 6X6 tattoo this product should work great (use the whole tube) if you are getting something a little bigger I suggest getting two to three tubes. I hope that helps.

I bought this tattoo cream as I was getting a very large arm piece done in a sensitive area. I wasn't to sure what to expect because it had mixed reviews. It worked amazing. I was able to sit through 3 hours of line work and shading the majority of my sleeve before I started feeling it. I would suggest putting on a thin layer and wrapping it wait an hour and right before your session put another thin layer on for the best results.

Definitely works great - just make sure that you keep it on for at least 2 hours and cover with plastic wrap, and your skin will be numb for hours
