To be honest I thought this RC was too good to be true; brushless motor, fully digital proportional control, 1/10th scale and 20mph top speed! Hence I nearly didn't buy but other 5 stars reviews made me think it was a worth a gamble at only $80. And oh my goodness what a great gamble it turned out to be, basically it's an incredible quality RC for this money (and is actually selling elsewhere at a more realistic $133 price, which would still be a good value imho!) and hence I can't recommend it enough at $80.Technically my son spent his Christmas money on this RC but it's great for any age above perhaps 8 as it's very fast (20mph seems like a conservative estimate to me as it flies along) hence my elder son and I are both begging turns as its so good. If I wanted to pick any criticism perhaps the fact that it's only 2 wheel drive (rear wheels) rather than 4 wheel drive but I don't think you'd get 4 wheel drive for this money/quality and the rear wheel drive does make it great fun spinning the car round making donuts (which my 10 year old loves doing)!So if you're reading this review humming and ahh-ing, don't any more just go for it, as I'm sure you won't regret it, we haven't, so get in quick before they rethink/correct the price (it still seems too good to be true and I have it in my hands after multiple excellent drives!).

Perfect for beginners, I've had a blast with this thing since I took it out of the box. Ready to Run!NOTE*** If you are looking to modify or upgrade components on this, it is NOT easily done. Parts are not designed for this truck. I've added some of the modifications I've done below to help out others.SHOCKS - The shocks can be upgraded with 108mm aluminum oil filled shocks. (HobbyPark 1/10 RC Truck Shocks 108mm)WHEELS/TIRES - This truck uses a 6mm spindle shaft which is flat on two sides. It will not work with most name brand trucks since they use a 12-17mm hex spindle. I have designed/printed my own adapters, now I can use any wheel/tire combo. (4x RC 1/10 Scale Car Monster Truck Type Tires Gravel w/ 5 Spokes Wheel Rim Black RC Parts)SERVO - Currently upgrading the servo to a 35kg all metal to handle the larger wheel/tire combo. Dije a mi esposa mira que monstruocidad y por ese precio no podía dejar ir esa oportunidad ya tengo como quince días con este RC aquí en casa, hice el. Pedido en Amazon lo pedí un sábado y ya el. Jueves lo tenía en mi casa una entrega super rápida. La. Mejor compra que he hecho de un RC, y ahora estoy pensando en comprar otro para mi hijo. De tiene una constestura de carroseria que tenia mucho tiempo. Buscando, un chasis tremendo y unos elementos, y una velocidad de aceleracion impresionante, que de verdad lo. Hacen único merecedor de ese nombre la. Bestía, muchas felicidades al vendedor, por tener tan buenos productos.

I got this truck for my 3 year old. My son and I Race RC on the weekend and my youngest, 3 year old, wanted to join. He loves the truck. I love the durability. The handling is a joke but my 3 year old could care less because it does donuts easily. This is great for a first truck but not good for an RC enthusiast. I am trying to figure out how to fix the handling.

The media could not be loaded.  Awesome toy for the price if you are looking for a really fast rc this is it!!!! But you have to know how to handle it . i had to buy 2 my buddy bought the first one after seeing it in action.. Again its very fast. On dirt, grass it doesn't matter its really a beast and its huge

I decided to take a risk on this RC truck given the mixed reviews but decided before I ran it at all I was going to evaluate why some reviews were so negative. Most of the negative reviews mentioned stripped gears so i started by disassembling the gearbox. The good news is the gearbox was protected well but the bad news was that none of it was easy to access without disassembling most of the vehicle. Upon opening the gearbox I was shocked. The crown gear (the 45 degree sloped one) was assembled in a way that it could not securely interface with the axle gears. It literally floated in place. Given this defect it was no surprise that when I drove it you could hear it slipping during hard acceleration. Based on this fact it was designed to fail. I would imagine that after a couple of runs it would eventually strip one side or the other. It was a shame because the car appeared to have some quality parts on it and could have been great had the gear box been designed better.One other note, while the car appeared to be built with descent quality, the remote was really cheap. I mean shockingly cheap. I returned the car immediately so don't have any long term experience.

I got this and the controller felt cheap but it was fine the car is big and rear wheel drive so i spin out offen but nonetheless its a good car but the pinion gear sounded like it was worn out before i started using it

This purchase started innocently enough. I had decided to buy my nephew an RC, one of the big ones. After searching the Web I found the BEAST. Being it was bought from Amazon, it arrived quickly. Thanks Amazon. I decided to get it set up so he could drive first thing Christmas morning. Got battery charged. Easy enough. Decided I might as well tune the steering. Easy enough. Then I thought I should actually drive it and make sure there were no quirks. Well I ran it till the battery was dead. I then realized why this thing was called the BEAST. I don’t know if it ran better on grass or the asphalt. So much fun! Now my question for New Bright is.....what will I get my nephew for Christmas. I’m keeping the BEAST.
