I purchased this splint to help with my plantar fasciitis during the night. I have found it very comfortable to wear to bed and it has helped alot with stretching out the tendon during the night by holding my foot at a 90 degree angle. I have found that first step getting out of bed in the morning has gone from extreme pain to being so much improved. This splint requires a little practice to get it put on snuggly and to figure out the proper placement on the foot, but once you get it figured out, it is easy and comfortable. It moves around easily underneath the sheets and you hardly know you are wearing it. I wear it in the evening while watching TV also, to help keep the tendon stretched. So far, I would highly recommend this splint if you would like something smaller and more comfortable than a big old boot on your foot at night that gets tangled up in your blankets and take off at 2 am because you can't sleep!!

Glory Be!!! Finally, after many attempts to alleviate my pain, out of desperation, I decided to try one more product. This was it. After one night, I awakened with 60% less pain. This is my fourth night and the pain has subsided immensely. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because of the difficulty in putting it on. Kind of awkward and can never figure out if it's strapped correctly. A small inconvenience for the amount of relief in walking.

I WORE THESE FOR ABOUT A WEEK & THE LAST 3 DAYS, THE PAIN ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY FEET GOT WORSE & WORSE. I GOT USED TO THE INITIAL DISCOMFORT OF WEARING THEM TO BED EACH NIGHT & I DEALT WITH THE IRRITATION OF PUTTING THEM ON EACH NIGHT (GETTING THE VELCRO STRAPS JUST RIGHT TAKES A WHILE!), BUT I REALIZED THAT THE CURVE OF THE METAL BAR PULLING AGAINST THE VELCRO BAND AROUND THE AREA JUST BELOW & TO THE SIDE OF THE TOES WAS CAUSING PAIN/INFLAMMATION/DAMAGE AT THE SIDE OF MY FOOT (TO THE LEFT/RIGHT OF THE LITTLE TOE ON EACH SIDE- HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE). I THOUGHT I MIGHT JUST HAVE THE STRAP TOO TIGHT, BUT EVEN LOOSENING THEM CAUSED STRAIN THERE & IT IS SWOLLEN & RED & EXTREMELY PAINFUL ON BOTH FEET NOW. I'M RETURNING THESE & WILL TRY OTHERS THAT DON'T HAVE A BAND AROUND THE TOE AREA.

I've had painful toe drop since ankle surgery, and tried this to prevent pain during sleep. I would cramp up and have searing pain when my Achilles contracted hard. This boot was unable to prevent me from pointing my toe hard in my sleep. I was easily able to bend and point my toe even when strapped in as tightly as I cold tolerate, and with the metal bar in a 45 degree angle.

I've been struggling with plantar fasciitis for over 6 months now. NOTHING was helping me relieve the pain, not ice, not rolling, not even prescription pain medication.I saw this listing and read the reviews and felt like I had nothing to lose to try the product so I ordered two (both of my feet have platar fasciitis).It took a few nights to get used to it, both applying and sleeping with it.I put it on too tight sometimes and my toes fall asleep so I adjust accordingly.Once you read the instructions and practice, it's simple and easy to wear.I noticed the first night I didn't really have pain in the morning. I always dread getting on foot in the morning because the pain is so bad. But after wearing these, I went from a pain level of 8 to 1 or 2. Drastic difference.I highly recommend these!!!

Although the night splint was comfortable it did not keep my foot at a 90 degree angle after several attempts to adjust the various straps including bending the metal insert. The splint loosened up even more after sleeping with it on all night.

I had been in a walking boot for 2 weeks with small improvement but nothing major. I ordered the night splint to just give my foot support when out of the boot. I have gotten so much relief since I started using it. I am still in a boot but will be out of it soon. It's a little tricky to figure out getting it on. Look at the photos and there are directions available online.

Update: after 4 months of making do with this I still have issues with the Velcro on the elastic band not sticking well. One side sometimes comes off at night. My podiatrist says this is a good design despite this issue. This along with an insole product the pain is kept somewhat at bay however things are not improving. Still trying to find a solution. In the meantime I ordered a new one of these to use until I find something better. At least this is only $20 and not $50.I’ve been using this now for a little over two months. It does seem to help but only a bit. As other reviews state it seems to be made for a smaller foot. I wear a size 9 ladies. The velcro on this is about worthless. I can’t even use it any more as it doesn’t stay secured. The elastic is also about worn out and I don’t stretch it all that tight. A waste of $$.
