This stuff WORKS.
I've been keeping a reef tank for about 15 years. Recently, admittedly as a result of coral overfeeding, I had a tremendous hair algae outbreak. Because I am reticent to add chemicals and treatments to the tank, I worked on the problem for months using other means. I upgraded my cleaner crew, was doing routine manual removal, doing aggressive water changes, etc. None of this was working. My local shop told me to try this stuff, which they assured me they used in their display tanks and was totally safe. I took their advice and - holy *** - this stuff is amazing. Worked perfectly; one cycle solved the entire problem. I even performed paranoia-driven regular water changes during the process (which is, I think, contrary to the advice on the label) and my hair algae still melted like magic. My corals showed absolutely no sign of irritation and there have been no other ill effects (although, even with the water changes, my phosphates spiked a bit).I highly recommend this product and will, if needed, definitely use it again.

Unbelievable!
I originally bought this and sent it back. It was so expensive and I feared it would just kill my SPS corals. My mother bought some and used it in her tank which was completely inundated with bryopsis and hair algae. It cleaned her tank 90% in 3-4 weeks. I only had a little compared to her and it was staring to get out of hand. My nutrients were ultra low. PO4 .02 and NO3 0.0 (using Hanna checker), but the bryopsis continued to grow on my lower rocks and overflow. I borrowed this from my mom and used as directed. Before the 7th day 99% of my bryopsis and hair algae melted away to nothing. My reef tank looks magnificent and I didn’t loose a single coral or fish. This stuff is worth every penny. I’m amazed. My parameters have creeped up to PO4 0.9 and NO3 2.0 from the algae melting away but every bunt looks good and those numbers are still good. I’ll do a 20% water change at day 14.

Worked!
I had some Bryopsis algae in my reef tank. I turned off my UV and skimmer, dosed the amount it said for my 300g. After a couple days the little bit of hair algae I had on my returns were turning color and dying. Couple more days I could see some of the Bryopsis starting to change. After about a week I turned my skimmer back on just to help with PH and Nitrates from the algae dying off. After maybe 2 weeks it was all gone and no issues what-so-ever with any of my fish, crabs/snails, or corals(SPS,LPS, Anemone, Zoas). Good news is I still have more leftover should I ever need to do it again.

It works
It works, but like everyone says it takes time. I couldn't tell much of difference until about 10 days. All in all I waited about 3 weeks. I was dealing with green hair algae and it did not just dissolve into nothing. Even after it was dead I had to scrub the rocks for hours. It does work just don't expect to set back and relax afterwards. You will have to put in some work.

This worked great for an out of control hair algae problem on a 180 gal reef.
Had neglected my reef tank for a year after a catastrophic wipe out of my reef tank, from scrapping off some palythoas. Hair algae became out of control. I saw others had used Fluconazole for the elimination of Bryopsis and sometimes hair algae. Had been using this drug already on one of my dogs for valley fever. It worked phenomenally well on the algae and after 4 weeks pretty much algae free. Didn't harm remaining fish or corals at all . After manually removing this for a year this is a miracle treatment. My dog goes in for a six month check up soon and I hope it is a miracle cure for valley fever too. Note; I used a local compounding pharmacy for my dog's treatment.

THIS STUFF WORKS!
THIS STUFF WORKS! It totally got rid of a 180g tank full of hair algae after a 2 year fight. I didnt lose any fish or corals, and in fact with the algae gone, my corals are finally able to consume some nutrients and they look the best they ever have and growth has exploded , and polyp extension is the best ive seen in this tank since day one. The first treatment knocked out 80%, then 1 month later i did a second full dose, with NO water changes in between. My algae is 100% gone. One key to keeping it gone is to also start using po4 remover immediatly after the treatment is concluded (2 weeks after). I am using the liquid po4 remover with amazing success. Expect to get very green skimmate for a while. In fact I am still getting green skimmate from all the dead algae.

Does the jod
First of does the job it works great on bad hair algae blooms you'll start to see results in 3 days only down side is that it requires you to remove or turn off filters and skimmer. Therefore keep in mind that your phosphates and nitrates are going to sky rocket as a result I lost a few corals so u must do massive and frequent water changes in 3days so after $100s in lost coral later lesson well learned only hope I'm able to help someone from making same mistakes

Worth every penny! Not a snake oil sold by other companies.
This product is not one of those snake oil products that are on the market. I have bought many products, Lowered nutrients, physical removal and numerous weekly water changes and nothing would get rid of the bryopsis in my 220.I put the recommended dose in my tank and waited. I am on day 10 and it is almost all gone. For the first few days I didn’t see any difference and then started to see bubbles on the bryopsis. By day 7 it started to dies off and had reduced by half.I really should have taken pictures since this stuff works like magic. There hasn’t been any issues with my corals (LPS & SPS) nor with any of the fish.Best money I have spent lately and should have bought it sooner. It was driving me crazy with the fast growth for over 6 months.
