Nagina International Rosewood Crafted Wooden Yarn Storage Bowl With Carved Holes & Drills | Knitting Crochet Accessories (Set)

I stumbled across these bowls and I'm so glad! They're advertised for knitting or crochet, but I do machine embroidery. I'm just starting some projects using yarns, beads, braids, cords and other specialty "threads" to embellish some standard embroidery, and these popped up. I think they'll work great for managing several strands at a time. Someone complained that they weren't all the same shade, but that doesn't bother me. I grew up with a craftsman woodworker for a father, and I know that pieces from the same piece of wood often "take" the stain differently. As to comments about smell, if I stick my head all the way into the bowl and breathe deeply, there is a faint odor - it's not offensive, and will likely dissipate now that they're out in the open. The workmanship is beautiful. Also, I don't know how they did it, but I emailed asking about delivery time, as we travel and I needed to make sure they arrived before we left for our next location, and was assured they would be delivered in time. Since the company's address is in India, I expected them to arrive in a few weeks - but somehow, they arrived on the third business day after placing the order! I'm very pleased with all aspects of this purchase.

After a delay of about a month, I decided to read the reviews again. This time they were not glowing & I became worried. Such things as poor workmanship where there is wood splinters or super strange smells off the product. Well mine arrived yesterday & it’s perfect, no smell & all finishes are smooth & polished. Beautiful for holding my yarn for various projects. I’m pleased with my purchase but beware of what isn’t said. S

All I can say is WOW! They are beautifully made! Thick sturdy bottoms, great smooth sanding so yarn won't catch or fray. The bowls are perfectly sealed with a high gloss finish. Shipping did take some time but when I contacted seller they were quick to respond. Great craftsmanship and well worth the price and wait.

Beautiful. Each is from a solid piece of wood, not pieced together or bamboo like many yarn bowls. Have not used yet, but the opening does not feel rough like other reviewers. Well sealed, no funky smell.

they were packed too well creating the most curved part broke off.. Consider the bowls came across the ocean. I simply wood glued it being fine. It was packed too much causing the problem. They are light weight. The smallest is not the same color but darker wood. Consider the price, three different sizes and the design. I am most willing to fix it rather than send it back.

These rosewood knitting bowls are beautiful! They took an extra 3 weeks to arrive; the box had been wet and damaged; and the medium size bowl had its swirl broken off. I immediately contacted Nagina thru the link on amazon.com; and sent photos. I was contacted the next day, and within 11 days, received the replacement bowl at no cost. It's lovely. I'd definitely recommend these knitting bowls and Nagina International.

These are beautiful bowls, however, they have a strong odor ( from the finishing product used?). I have been airing them out for almost 2 months and the odor is still strong. I purchased them as a gift and I am not sure I will ever be able to give them because of the odor.

Nice to have different sizes to choose from. I only need two and so I will give the third one away as a gift :)

Beautifully crafted, and excellent quality. No rough areas for yarn to snag on. Excellent customer service and communication from the provider. Highly recommend. I love these and so happy I bought them.

The bowls came packed tightly in a box, in bubble wrap and separated with styrofoam. They are beautiful, carved yarn bowls with a very smooth finish, that doesn't snag on yarn. The large bowl is large enough for a full skein of number 4 lion brand yarn, wound into ball form. The small bowl is better for scrap sized balls. I haven't tried the medium yet.
