13 SIZES bamboo crochet hooks US2-15/E-P (3.00 mm-12 mm)

I have metal, plastic, metal/bamboo and now these all bamboo hooks... These hooks are okay I guess and they will do the job. I just do not like the way they feel. The hook part is longer than any of the ones on my other sets, which is annoying, and I can't get the rhythm down like I can with any other hook. It just has a funny feel. I do like how pointy the hooks are at the top because it is a bit easier to get into a smaller stitch. Overall, they don't glide as well as I had hoped and I will not use these unless I am mid-project and end up losing the correct hook size from all of my other sets.... I could have purchased $20 worth of yarn instead and been much happier!

I bought these as a beginner crocheter. I used the 8mm an 10mm so far and both have slightly rough edges. The 8mm more so than the 10. I have not tried the other sizes yet, but I would NOT be surprised if they snagged the yard also. I'm using a chunky acrylic yarn and the 8mm will have fibers actually stuck on the flat part going into the groove. The 10mm is rough on the "hook" part. I love the feel of bambo so will look for a different brand/product. You get what you pay for and luckily I am not out a lot.Jena

I have carpal tunnel in both hands and arthritis too. And I wanted to get back to crocheting but I was using metal hooks and I would be in so much pain. But I read all the reviews everyone wrote. I ordered them. I love them. I'm learning new stitches and different patterns and I can do them now without the hook hanging up or have to force hook in stitch. These are a great product. And they have helped me alot to get back crocheting. Also a great price. But before I go I want to thank all of your reviews because you helped as well. Your great help for someone like me. thank you again.

I love these hooks! I didn't realize how much my metal hook was holding me back until I got to use these lightweight, smooth, bamboo hooks. They are actually quite sturdy, too! What sold me on this set opposed to others is there is a very slight indention for your fingers and a large work space on the hook, so it doesn't interfere with your work. I love them so much I'm getting my mom a set so she can enjoy the difference, too!

My daughter and granddaughter gave me a book on cute crochet (Amigurumi), which typically requires rather small crochet hooks, not always available in local stores. These bamboo hooks are much nicer and smoother than the metal and plastic ones available in my local craft stores. They are polished to a comfortable smoothness and appear to be well calibrated.

I bought these mainly for the larger sizes. I crochet daily and am pretty picky about my hooks. These are very nice, the hook is perfect, the hook end is a bit more pointed than aluminum hooks which is nice to get the hook into the stitch. They are smooth and I would recommend these to anyone and certainly buy them again.

The needles are for the most part nice and smooth but one of my hooks has a little nick and the yarn will sometimes snag. Nothing major but mostly an annoyance.

I really wanted to love these.However, I have BARELY used them and they are already falling apart little by little. Not chunks... but little slivers will catch on yarn and just make the whole process of crocheting incredibly frustrating. Who wants to buy nice yarn and have it ripped apart?Bamboo does feel nice, but I plan on investing in higher quality comfort hooks. You really do get what you pay for.
