A highly versatile, fully adjustable four-season pole built with premium materials, the Pansel Carbon Trekking Pole handles backpacking routes, mid-winter expeditions and far-flung treks with ease. Three 100% carbon fiber shafts offer quick and secure length changes thanks to dual lock Pro adjustability. The comfortable wicking cork grip features a durable padded wrist strap and a non-slip EVA extension for quick choke-ups on steep terrain. Two kinds of baskets and interchangeable Tech Tips allow you to switch between carbide and rubber tips to account for changing trail surfaces.

Stiff, light, and inexpensive!
This is a nearly barebones package. There are 2 poles with straps, 2 summer baskets, and 2 rubber feet. Snow baskets are not included.First impressions are excellent--the carbon is laminated with a semitransparent maroon that looks very premium and should please anyone as long as they like red. Grips are fake cork jobs, the kind you see a lot on MYOG pages. They should wear out faster than real cork or EVA, but are very cheap and easy to replace. The straps are identical to all other inexpensive Chinese poles on the market. With baskets and feet, the pair weighs 14.5 oz on my scale.Full extended length is only about 55 inches total, so keep that in mind if, like me, you're using a pole-supported tent. These poles use a twist-lock style adjuster and there is no shock absorption mechanism. I consider this a plus. The lock seems very sturdy. It's mostly plastic but seems identical to ones from many other brands with good track records. On the trail, the poles have proven quite strong and have surprisingly less flex than other Chinese poles I've used. They inspire confidence, although with only a few dozen miles on them, I can't speak to them long-term.All in all, I'm very happy. I found these poles for less than 20 dollars and they handily outperform many poles in the 60-100 range. Nicer models from Leki or Black Diamond are stiffer, harder-wearing, and more comfortable, but cost well over 100. At the current price of under 20, it's difficult not to recommend them for most purposes, save for extreme conditions or cost-no-object buyers.

CAN TAKE CARRY-ON!
Love these poles, and were packing them for trip to Yosemite when we realized, they're too big for carry-on luggage! Oh no! Must check bag, or tape together and check them, added expense, lost luggage, wait at carousel, etc, etc. But then I had an idea, and boy do I love good design. They come apart! And are just small enough for carry-on luggage. Plus I love these poles! They're light, strong, and adjust to my 5'11" and to my SO's 5'2". And these https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G60LJP8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 are perfect, exact replica replacement rubber tips, because those carbide tips will poke through the rubber in a couple weeks of hard use. What more could you ask for in a pole? Oh, they're inexpensive! Stop looking and buy these. And no I'm not being paid to review them.

I took these through rough rocky terrain and they performed very well. Good for going up and down a mountain but not much in between.
