Now Foods Bone Meal Powder 16 oz

Kinda hard to write a review....I have never used this kind of product and just started using it, I do like the fact there is no taste, I taste everything I am going to give my dogs since some products don't seem to be tasty to everyone. I also bought a food fortifier and it does not taste good at all and one of my Chihuahua's won't touch her food with it mixed in and yet the other Chihuahua will. Go figure. Anyway, I have to make their food, both diagnosed with DCM, they won't eat the prescription dog food, none of my dogs would eat it who needed to be on it. So the bone meal and a food fortifier was recommended to make sure what I prepare is complete, it must be a low sodium diet of course. It is a nice very fine powder easy to work with and mix into the food, and a good size container.

After ordering this same product from another online source it was a week later that they even informed me that they didn't actually have it. I immediately cancelled and found it here. It was a slightly odd order. since the day after the order I was emailed that it would ship that day, but the tracking showed not shipping till after it arrived! None-the-less, it arrived days before expected and in perfect condition. I am using it as an additive to home-prepared catfood until I can afford a grinder and include actual bones, which are critical for a cat's physiological needs.

Using for my Yorkie poo...She is on a raw diet that I make and although gets a multi diet, wanted to supplement with more bone meal for calcium since she doesn't get raw bones to chew on.

Whatever happened to old fashioned Bone Meal with red bone marrow? We used to buy Bone Meal with red bone marrow. Seems someone discovered they could get a lot more $$ for the bone marrow. This bone meal is "enhanced" with Calcium carbonate and Magnesium oxide. It isn't pure bone meal.

I'm finding Now Foods is a great product line. I have the Bone Meal and the Taurine for added supplement for my cat and ferret. It works great and is a wonderful way to supplement bone in my ferrets diet since she doesn't seem to want to crunch on them.

Was sold to be a dog health product but when I called the company said it was for humans not dogs. So wasted my money. Bad advertising.

I have been using this product to add to the homemade strict diet I have my little diabetic dog on. Bone Meal was recommended by my Vet as an ingredient which should be added when not using commercial dog food. It is easy to measure & add to her food & she loves it. I highly recommend this product.
