Unacceptably Fatty
We are beef eaters and don't turn our nose at gristle, but the cuts we received were unreasonably fatty and we definitely did NOT get our money's worth. We bought 3 pounds and all of them were loaded with fat. The one pictured was LITERALLY more fat than beef. After taring the scale to the weight of the paper towel, we trimmed the useless fat off the beef and found it was almost 0.6 pounds as pictured.Put in plain numbers, we paid $7 per pound, 0.6 pounds (272 grams) was useless fat, so we threw away $4.20 and ate $2.80 worth of beef.It arrived fresh and doesn't taste bad, but we've paid much much much less for better tasting beef. We won't be buying this cut from Pat LaFrieda farms / Amazon Fresh again.

Hit & Miss
This is a very cheap cut of meat & bearing in mind how expensive beef is nowadays, this is good value for a cheap cut of beef that will require a bit of low & slow cooking to enjoy. It's great for (British) Steak Pie.It's also really good for pulling due to the fat in it:1) Season really well (be generous) & preheat oven to 275F.2) Brown it in a heavy based frying pan for 3-4 mins on each side.3) Place in snug fitting oven proof dish (If not using oven proof frying pan / skillet).4) Add 1 cup (238ml) beef stock / broth per lb of meat.5) Cover with oven proof lid or tightly secured foil.6) Cook for 5-6 hours.7) Remove from oven & pull apart with a couple of dinner forks. Don't worry about the leftover stock / broth - once you've pulled the meat apart, it'll absorb in to the meat & be deliciously juicy, I'm unable to not try a few mouthfuls of it before I serve it.I knocked a star off because I've had a couple of these steaks delivered before where I've had about 30% of the total weight be thick fat that I've had to slice off with a large sharp knife, otherwise it'd be 5 stars.

Yeah right
I can cook... at least most say I can. I say I can. Anyway... this was tough. tough.tough. Ok, first of all I ordered two because a pound is not enough for a family I'm now wondering why I did that. This meat probably needs an overnight marinade to try to break down some of the fibrous material or maybe somebody better than I can Bobby Flay it. Well I didn't think that far ahead... First night after getting out of the oven it was rough. Next day I tried to save it and darn near boiled this meat in gravy on the stove for a good hour or more. Son said mom this is great. I didn't eat it. I'm not a quitter but jeesh...I was over it. Fresh sells great Filets and Ribeyes though....

Where's the Beef???
I don't usually write reviews, but this one felt necessary.... I bought this to make Beef stew, and the meat its self was fresh, but there was no meat, it was a big mound of white Fat.... So I cut it up to the best of my ability and was left with 2 Hunks of Fat that was bigger than the small pile of meat... So I threw the Fat pieces in the pot with everything else, and called my stew a Beef Flavored Potato Stew. LOL...

Do not buy!!
If I could leave no stars I would. Meat was expired and I didn’t realize it until I was ready to cook it. Had an expiration date 5 days before I ordered it.

So tender
I seared it in a cast iron skillet with herbs, garlic, butter, olive oil and onions. To finish I cooked it in the oven. The meat was so tender I literally cut it with a butter knife.

Different quality between packages
I ordered two of these - one was mostly meat, the other was almost half fat.

Delicious cooked medium rare.
This cut is thick. First, I pan seared it to brown, then placed inside air fryer. I like mine medium rare. A bit fatty but delicious. YOU HAVE TO LET IT REST AT LEAST 5 MINUTES BEFORE SLICING. Juicy and thick. I made burritos.
