Hand Hammered Tibetan Meditation Singing Bowl 8 Inches

The media could not be loaded.  Great bowl, rings low for its size and crafted beautifully! There is not precise information about the pitch on the article, so here it is: it rings at approx 160 Hz (E3, to my ear, the video is sharp) at the lowest pitch, surprisingly low for the size I measured at almost 8.5". Wonderful subtle overtones-- B and some ringing at an F, creates medium warbling effect. When struck properly, the shrill higher overtones become less noticeable (in the video I show soft and hard striking, although my camera didn't capture the bass well).Beautiful orange and maroon pillow that came with it! The wooden striker did not come with any felt, so I had to put 3 layers of felt on (taped it on the wood and hot glued the felt) to get an ideal deeper ring. Definitely worth it for the price!

I purchased one for my elementary class (we use it for morning meditation) - loved it so much I am buying another. It looks like it was machined before being beaten, but that doesn't impact the sound at all. A wonderful, low tone on this singing bowl. I was skeptical because I have found many lower quality bowls at twice the price in this size - but it is an excellent instrument. The cushion is nice, the bowl can be played while resting on the cushion if needed - it is a rather heavy piece. The prayer flags were a nice bonus.

The tone on this Tibetan Singing bowl is absolutely beautiful. Deep, warming tones mixed with higher beautiful notes that sing in complete harmony. It's very easy to make the bowl sing and the ringing tone will continue for 10 or 15 seconds afterward. And the tone from a gentle strike to the rim is equally beautiful. It also adds an amazing amount of charm to the room as well and makes for a beautiful display. The rustic, handmade look makes it a very grounded feeling and creates a very special, spiritualistic sense.

Love the sound of this bowl when struck. The tone when going around the edge with the wand is a very low tone. When striking it, OMG the sound is wonderful. Also love how this bowl sings with the wand then striking it and you can hear the 2 different sound. I then strike with a smaller wand which makes a 3rd sound. AMAZING and would recommend this singing bowl.

Get quality , love the sound . Bought it for my husband with cancer to bring some peace to our crazy life

Bowl is excellent, sounds great. One thing though, some felt on the mallet would be good. With some practice you can do away with most of the scraping sound made by the mallet.

The sound is gorgeous! Came with 2 strikers - one wood and the other suede covered, and lovely pillow, but the tone just melts me...ahhhh. :) Totally recommend this bowl.
