This is a beautiful upright lamp. I purchased two to use as nightstand lamps. They are bigger than I realized "my nightstands are 20 x 20". But I love it! I'm using small Edison bulbs and it gives such a warm beautiful glow. The on/off switch is on the cord, so that's a little inconvenient but not a deal breaker. The globe is a crackled silver, somewhat shimmery. Certain times of the day, the way the sun shines in the room, they can appear gold. Obviously it's just reflecting lights. I adore these lamps. I did see some reviews that said the lamp globe was loose when they attached it to the base. Do keep in mind that there is a plastic ring that you need to unscrew before you insert the globe. After you attach the globe, you screw the ring in which keeps the globe from being "wobbly". Then you put your bulb in.

The lamp shade sparkles. I use a 25 watt bulb and that gives me plenty of light

They give my formal dining room, just enough, warm, How wonderful family dinner.

It is very bright but I have a color changing light bulb that is a 1.5 Watt and it is beautiful. Very happy I got it.

These lamps will not disappoint. They are just gorgeous. I pictured them a little smaller but totally happy with the purchase.
