good introduction to real estate investment
I bought the book because I am taking an online class taught by the author. It is a decent entry-level finance textbook. You need to be at least competent in simple algebra to understand the valuation concepts introduced but most college students should be able to handle it. Reading the book is almost as good as taking the class if you can already handle the math.

Everything you need to know about Real Estate and it's ...
Everything you need to know about Real Estate and it's finance, in one Book. It is very explanatory and comes with many exercises at the end of each chapter, helping you to recall what you have learned.

Psuedo-academic
This book feels like it was written as much for advertising the author's academic credentials as it is to be a good teaching vehicle. That said, the book is quite comprehensive and it does a good job of investigating many areas of the real estate industry. Your job becomes digging the significant amount of valuable information contained in the book out of the verbiage. This book is a valuable resource for the fundamentals and offers quite a bit of sophistication in regard to the real estate industry. It is just that it is so tedious wading through what seems to be the M.I.T. veneer.

Excellent help before and after tax proforma development
Excellent textbook for students to learn about commercial real estate. I particularly enjoyed the proforma chapters as a supplement following MBA corporate finance classes. The approach helped me understand the before and after tax investment value of properties.

The best book I've seen
The best book I've seen. I only wish it came in PDF. Would love to keep it on my laptop for reference as I travel.

arrived before expected date. very good condition

Arrived in Ok condition, corners and spine were a bit damaged. Would benefit from being a hard cover. Also pages are very thin and easy to rip so be careful. CD Was not included despite it listed in description.

Unfortunately, the physical quality of this book is disappointing despite its high price and I just receive it. Right from the first few pages, I noticed stains and binding issues. The print is uneven in places, and some pages look poorly trimmed or glued, which makes the reading experience feel cheap and careless—especially frustrating for an academic or professional title. A book covering important topics like commercial real estate deserves better production standards. I expected more for the price and purpose. Definitely not worth it in its current condition.
