I have only been wearing these shoes for aweek now and still in the process of breaking them in. They seem to be well made and a bit stiff but pleasantly light weight. These are a size 10.5 wide but feel narrow right behind the toe box and hopefully will break in with use. The insole is amazing and very comfortable with good support for the arch and heel. Its comparable to the more expensive aftermarket insoles I have purchased in the past. The outer sole has an aggressive pattern that feels well for traction on variable surfaces such as concrete floors, wooden & metal trailer floors , ladders , steps , smooth or rough terrain. My work is in transportation and I have used these 10 to 14 hours a day for a week now. Standing, climing, walking, pulling, pushing on all types of surfaces, indoors and outdoors . I have had the opportunity to walk on wet asphalt and concrete, both wet with water, oil , and diesel and so far these shoes have preformed very well. I have worn several of the other major brands in the past and so far in my opinion these Thorogoods are giving me the impression they are going to rank high in comparison.I will try and update my review after putting these shoes through a more thorough use on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.Update 11/17/19Its going on 6 months of daily use for these shoes. I can truly say they are well worth the purchase price and I would recommend them to anyone who may have doubts about giving them a try. Most new work shoes are stiff, but these are comfortable right out of the box. I got a half size larger than my normal size as suggested by other reviews and fits perfect. Well made and good looking work shoe. Will buy again.. Update: Bought them again, and forgot to add the half size larger. They are a tad snug at the safety toe, but still comfortable. Will buy again when this second pair wears out. Great shoes. The first pair lasted about 10 months of daily use in an industrial steel fabrication shop, which is outstanding. Typically i get about 6 months of service out of a pair of work shoes. The condition of inside of the shoe is what eventually warranted replacement. Never wore through the soles.. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone who spends a lot of time on concrete and has foot pain. They get more comfortable the older they get.

These shoes run about half size smaller than other brands. I like the design, comfort and arch. I bought both 12W and 13. The 12W are getting returned because they were small and they looked like they were briefly worn, cleaned and returned.

Shoes are really sturdy. Look good, too.Do not listen to the folks in the reviews that say they run small. I went up a half size and now am stuck wearing my old janky work boots with aching feet until another pair arrives.

I did what all the comments said and sized up, but they were still incredibly tight. I tired wearing them around for a few hours before I took them to work and omg they are awful. Like yeah, there tight so around the foot isn’t going to be comfortable but the bottoms of my feet completely ached after only an hour, my Converse are more comfortable then these shoes and that’s really saying something for a job where im on my feet for 12 hours a day. Sad I wasted $8 on 2 day shipping for these. Don’t waste your time, get better shoes.

I like the comfort when standing and the warmth and durability are great. I deliver packages and walk about ten miles a day and after one week both my heels were rubbed raw of their skin from the angle of the heel part of this shoe. It angles in towards you and has a rigid form so it just constantly slides against my skin. After two weeks the cloth on the front has frayed but the stitching has held up. I’m disappointed because I like them otherwise but I feel like now I’m stuck with these shoes that cost me a decent chunk. Had to get new work shoes and will use these for anything standing I guess?

Seemed promising. But only lasted 8 months of wearing and the material is peeling.Cushion inside is decent for day to day.
