Has anyone had to pay oversized luggage fees to an airline? This bag is larger than any airline allows. I'm talking size and not weight.

Love this bag but at 14+lbs..... just lost that weight to 50lbs limit Alaska Air imposes and I always cut it real close with a lightweight fabric bag. Something to think about if you carry a lot of gear

Does this bag have a dedicated boot and helmet location

I dont know that I would call it a "dedicated" helmet compartment, but it does have a separator that I use as a compartment for my Helmet bag

Does this bag have locking zippers for airport travel? How many?

They do not.... but this bag is by far the best gear bag I the world. I love it. If you can deal without locking zippers, buy it!!!
