Lovely hard cover book. Beautiful illustrations. Story just as I remembered it. My daughter and I have really enjoyed this book.

Yes very good

Read this in grade school and never forgot the story of the brave little mongoose. Bought this for my grandson because we couldn't find it in any library or bookstore--what a shame! My grandson and I loved reading it together.

Story is very good. Forgot how detailed Runyard Kipling is. It’s a bit hard for a three year old to grasp. I had to break it down for her to stay interested. She is amazed by Mongooses right now.

Just what I needed

Stand-alone, unabridged hardcover version of the cobra-mongoose story from Kipling’s jungle book. Gorgeous painted illustrations by Australian artist Robert Ingpen (he’s also illustrated Kipling’s Jungle Book and Just so stories books, available separately). A great introduction for little kids to Kipling’s works.
