Exactly what I needed to extend my keyboard rack

Works as intended.
Does what it's supposed to do. Install was a piece of cake. Is sturdy. Don't see why some people gave it a low-rating.

make sure all the screws fit once in place.
This was nice edition to my music room. As usual one side of the center bar the threads did not match so it is supported by one side as a center bar. Every thing else is sturdy and supporting my heavy yamaha e417 keyboard.

Strong and doesn't wiggle
The media could not be loaded. Perfect, sturdy , strong and doesn't wiggle...I'm using it together with a proline double-braced keyboard stand PL4KD. On top a Korg PA600, bottom a Yamaha P-125.

Pleasantly Surprised - but Amazon had 2 different version being sold under the same model!
After looking to replace my 2-tiered stand with a 3-tiered stand and realizing that I was definitely going to lose money doing that, I just happened upon this product. It's On Stage and my stand is actually QuikLok, so I wasn't totally sure if it would work. Plus universal equipment, in my experience, has been universally bad at replicating the quality of a dedicated product.I was very pleasantly surprised though! This extra tier fits very tightly and is extremely sturdy. I saw some bad reviews from people who said it collapsed, but I don't know how that could happen unless the whole stand collapsed or they greatly exceeded the weight limits. It's actually MORE sturdy than the second tier on my stand. And here's the MAJOR benefit: I actually have two 2-tiered stands and a 1-tier stand, all from different manufacturers, and this fits on all 3! That means I can have any configuration of tiers that works for my current setup. This is some of the best money I've spent in a long time. I highly recommend this universal extra tier.WARNING: I ordered two of these and was just about to order a 3rd, when I started looking at the reviews again. As I read them, I realized that there are two different models, and I actually have one of each. I never noticed this because one is on a Z stand and one is on an X stand. It seems that On-Stage, maybe after all the bad reviews, updated their item and kept the same model number. I believe Amazon's photo is of the older version, where the posts connect to the back of the keyboard arms (and probably where the complaints about rust and broken welds come from). The new models connect the posts in the MIDDLE of the keyboard arms (see my photo from another seller). This gives a different experience when it comes to adjusting and how far away the new tier is from the player.I have the back connector on the Z stand and the middle connector on the X stand and that works. If I switch them, the Z stand works okay with the mid connector (a little far away), but the X stand with the back connector does not work at all. The third tier hangs out further than the second, basically in line with tier 1.I still love these. Mine work great in my studio with no problems at all. I'm not sure if I'm going to order my 3rd one from Amazon though since I have no idea what I'll get.

Wow. This is the 2nd tier stand to get. Stable, solid, no wobble
This 2nd tier stand is exceptionally good.Pros - Solid construction. The sizzor expanding part that goes into the back of the existing stand tube is a great way to get a very solid connection. (A few said it wobbles. Not so if you tighten it well. The adjustable horizontal telescoping tube is great, especially if you have to adjust from a player who's standing to one who is sitting. It easily lets you decide each time you play. The rubber tube covers to pad the keyboard are thick, and the bottom stops are thick and solid. The adjustable angle screws and teeth are good.Cons - Not really one. The telescoping tube end screws were a bit hard to align, but you only have to do it once, so it's good.Summary: If you need a 2nd tier, this is the one to get. A keeper, and worth the price.

MISSING PART!
This is a great product as far as the design. It allows one to add a tier to many different stands. I took advantage of a “Used” version of this product from Amazon. It saved me about $10 but unfortunately I am missing the entire cross-bar support. That is the adjustable, horizontal bar that ties the two arms together for more stability. My box did not have it or the knobs to secure it. I CAN use the two uprights without it, but feel I should have received it…after all, used means it has been “used,” not “missing pats.” Or, because I can limit the top shelf to light items, I’d be happy to receive a small refund because of the missing parts. I would ask Amazon directly but there does not seem to be any way to submit this feedback. I could only find the “return the item” button, and a link to the manufacturer who clearly is not at fault here. And by the way, the On-Stage site shows they offer the crossbar assembly but it is not in stock and there is no indication when it will be back in stock. So I am a bit frustrated!!Hello! Amazon!!! Anyone there? :)

It woks
You can’t adjust the height, which would be nice. Other than that it’s easy to setup and sturdy.
