I bought the mixed snack/lunch bag set to primarily use for my son's school lunches. We recently took a trip to the beach and were very disturbed to learn about the horrible effects plastic items have on the dolphin population and aquatic life in general. We were of course, already aware of these issues, but this trip really got our family thinking about ways to reduce our plastic usage. I wanted to find a good solution to reduce our need to rely on plastic bags for storage/lunch needs. We had already moved away from using bags for storage but school lunches were a challenge because our son uses an "old school", vintage metal lunch box. Due to the size limitations I was forced to use snack size plastic bags and a sandwich container. It was very difficult getting everything to fit in the lunch box along with an ice pack. I got on Amazon and began researching reusable options. I chose this product because the reviews were good, I liked the different size options and the fact that this is small company with a great commitment to environmentally safe products. I got a set that included three sandwich size bags and two snack bags. I will definitely be ordering more soon! The bags are perfect for my son's lunches! I use one sandwich bag (usually folded over since it had tons of extra space) and two snack bags (one for fruit and one for crackers). The bags fit perfectly in his lunch box even with an ice pack. I used the other sandwich bags for basic storage for like crackers/candy/fruit. The bags are well made, easy to clean and perfect sizes. They can easily be folded if needed for smaller items. They have held up even after multiple washing (hand). They have a great seal on them and keep things very fresh and we haven't had any issues with leakage. I would give this product a 5 out of 5 and plan to order at least two or three more sets in the future. I haven't bought anymore plastic baggies since getting these. They are a great product which I highly recommend to anyone wanting to quit wasting money on disposable plastic bags and help out our environment!

These bags are awesome! I have another type of reusable bag, however, it is a velcro closure and not nearly as sturdy as these. These bags are of great quality: thicker than a normal Ziplock bag but still soft and pliable. Both the snack and quart sizes are slightly larger than the Ziplock size but still perfect for most everything. I can easily put three peeled mandarin oranges, chips or cookies into the snack size. Clean up is also a breeze! They do not stand up very well on their own but easily fit over the top of a coffee mug and air out by morning without any trouble. I have also tried putting liquid into them and they deliver as promised... no leaking! I definitely recommend these bags and will be ordering more in the future. My only recommendation for Envirogen is to make a gallon size as well.

I’ve been using these bags for about 4 months now and I am incredibly pleased with them. They are great for “wet” snacks as they are essentially leakproof although I am always careful about how they are placed in the lunchboxes. They have held up against 2 and 4 year old hands so they are pretty durable in that sense; I have had no issues with the zippers or splitting at the seams. I do hand wash with a bottle brush them as I like them so much that I’m afraid to put them in the dishwasher and risk ruining them, and that seems to keep them clean enough. Every so often I give them a good soak in a gallon bucket of warm water with a cap full of vinegar to help with the staining which would be the only “complaint”. Red peppers are the worst culprit. All in all I am very happy with these baggies not only do the work well, they have helped save my on wallet and more importantly the environment.

So far, I've been very satisfied with this product! These bags are obviously more durable than the flimsy, one-use plastic food storage bags that I bought them to replace. In particular, the zippers are very well made. I've use the bags to store several different things in the fridge and freezer.Cleaning them is relatively easy, though I will admit that I have to get creative in stretching the bags and keeping them open while they dry in the dish rack. I am also hesitant to store anything other than veggies in the bags as they are not supposed to be washed with water that is warmer than "warm."I love these bags and I've already recommended them to all my eco-friendly friends!

I ordered these bags to replace disposable sandwich and snack bags. The sandwich bags hold a thick sandwich easily, and the portion of snack foods that fit into the smaller bags is ample. I have found that with items like chips I may have to adjust the position of the contents to avoid crushing them when I seal the bag, but it is an easy fix. The seal is tight and keeps the items inside fresh. The bags have no chemical or plastic smell, are pliable, and have been easy to clean. I used a sandwich bag to hold a slice of leftover pizza, and the tomato sauce did stain a small spot of the bag, but that stain has almost entirely faded with repeated use and washing. These bags are used daily and have been taken on outings to the zoo, on hiking trips, and in school/work lunches and they are just as strong as when we first purchased them. I would purchase this product again.

The storage bags are very high-quality and definitely keep food fresh. The bags work great for me. However, I mainly got them for my kids to use in their school lunches and my kids could not open any of the bags. The bags need a longer top or a tab to grab on to, to help open them. There is just not enough material for smaller hands to grab on to and get them open. The seal is great, but unfortunately, we will not be able to use them for the purpose that I purchased them for.
