The handles come off very easily, they are not secured in any way to the post.

Why didn't I think of this? These are great especially if you have young kids who seem to always find a way to stab each other. They are easy to clean. The only slight drawback is that the handles slide off fairly easily.

Cool idea but handles slip off and one of them completely broke the first time we used them.

This thing works on just about anything I could stick it with, or flip over in the fire ~Heh You get four, so there should be no complainin' ... In particular we'll use for dogs and marshmallows, but really-- whatever you care for. **Just be safe! Ha. +Great Item+

They are an amazing design and finally put my mind at ease with kids and pointy objects. As for the broke in seconds review anything can break if you apply enough force; they are not made of the strongest material, but rather light weight and PORTABLE. Worth it any day.

These fell apart before they even were used the tops fell off.

I got these for our youth group cookout. The kids all used them and they worked great. I liked not having to worry about anyone getting hurt and no hotdogs or marshmallows fell off.
