God of War

Absolutely Amazing! I recommend to everyone who is a GOW fan!!
I absolutely loved this book! I played the game when it first came out and I have to say that the two are just about exactly the same!!! Of course the book has a little bit more detail when it comes to the characters but that is to expected. Kratos has changed so much as both a man(god) and as a father. In this book, they delve a bit deeper into Kratos’ mind, along with Atreus of course, to really understand his struggle to be a better father and to connect and bond with his son in a positive way. Cory Barlog (game director) and J. M. Barlog (book author) are both geniuses as to take a totally different take upon the very violent Kratos we all are so used to seeing. I love the approach they took with this book and the game. And, I cannot wait for the next installment of both to be released!!!

Wonderful!
This story gives me an amazing adventure with the warrior and his son when going through crazy obstacles to meet the most significant warrior at the end.

Great read
Enjoyed reading it! It was a cool insight into the characters (particularly Kratos and his struggle to be a father), and the interactions between them all felt in character and realistic. The story follows the main plot of the game, although a few things/events in there are different. The action was good, the pacing was perfect, and I really loved the little moments with Atreus and Kratos. Some of the fighting scenes are kept very short and nondescript, but it doesn’t take away from the story.Overall a very good read, and I would highly recommend!

BOY!
J.M. Barlog writes a fantastic story about the God of War in this novel based on the new game. Both the game and the novel capture the beauty of the Norse mythological world, and the novel is a good reproduction of the main story of the game. Of course, not everything that is possible to do in the game is represented in this novel (that would make it much longer but I would be okay with that), so only the main linear story is present. The characters are phenomenal, such as the dwarf Brok and Mimir, and the dialogue created for these characters are spot on, echoing that of the game. Although I would have liked more plot points in the novel, it still captures the essence of the game. What I think it could have had more of especially was better description and detail when it came to the fight scenes, even the smaller fights could have had more detail. Some of the major fights do have some quite good descriptions, which bring flashes of those scenes in the game to mind, but I would have liked to see more of that included. All in all, if you enjoyed playing the game and the story, this novel will be a delight to read.

I am Kratos!
It followed along with the pretty well, if course it wasn't in depth like the game. It was still very good, even after playing the game. As I was reading, l could picture the game scenes in my head. Loved the game, and book was good too.

Great Story
Very good job! Excellent read. Very fluid. In spite of the massive material and content written about, the author does a very skillful job of including as much literature to describe the setting and events that take place.

Had so much fun playing and reading
Captures the adventure Kratos and boi set on, it's a good one time read. Didn't take long. But I wish there was some more extra content on the Valkyries

Espectacular

A great story about a father and son bonding whilst laying the smackdown on mythical enemies
If you've played the ps4 game then its the same. The story is focused around Kratos, the God of war and his son, Atreus. It follows their journey as they overcome multiple threats to spread the ashes of Faye, Kratos wife and Atreus Mother. I personally loved the story whilst playing the game, the relationship between father and son is rocky and almost distant at the start and the story does a great job of telling the reader how it changes over the course of their journey when they have to work together and the interaction between them when new characters are met.P.s, Mimir is favourite character
