Sevjoy Travel Clothes Steamer, Vertical and flat ironing Garment Steamer, Handheld Fabric Steamer for Home and Travel

Honestly, at first I thought I would return this item as this is not exactly what I wanted and expected. I wanted a steamer, however, the one that does steam in horisontal position. I needed it quite urgently as my previous one "died" for no obvious reason and I-just-HATE-ironing!!! I decide on buying clothing taking into account if it needs ironing or not. Shame on me, but my husband irons his shirts himself. Every week. Yep. I'm awful. I'd better clean all the house myself than iron one shirt. I think the process of "preparation" is the most irritating: taking out of the storage heavy ironing board, heating up iron and then standing up right. For at least an hour! No way I will deal with the ironing board if I have just one wrinkled kids top to iron to go to the nursery. Everything I'm capable of is to steam it. Takes 3 mins. Looks lovely. No probs. One thing that I didn't like with my previous steamer, is that I needed to hang a top (or trousers) and do the steaming vertically. Kids clothes are quite small and "move around", so I burn myseld a couple of times, trying to keep it still. Not much, but still unpleasant. That's why I wanted something with horisontal steaming option. This one was reasonably priced and stated as a steamer with flat ironing option... Well, it was a bit of a surprise, when I opened the box and realised that it's actually a steamer iron, rather than just handheld steamer... Steamer brush, to be presice, as it had additional 2 brushes in a package. I had NO idea what is it for until my husband saw it... HE-WAS-HAPPY. He said this device would save him lots of money on dry cleaning his suits! When he comes home in a suit and kids are so glad to see him and run for cuddling, in one second this trousers or jacket have traces of chocolate, soup, puree or whatever they're eating and still have on faces or (and) clothing. Or traces of mucus if they have runny noses, always the case in autumn) Dry cleaning of a 2 pieces suit at our local services cost around 12 quid. This steamer brush helps to get rid of those traces of "love" absolutly brilliantly. We've already saved at least one run to the dry cleaning, and it's been just one week. My husband insisted on keeping it for this reason and I agreed.I need to admit, it did work very well as a steamer on kids Halloween costumes for parties, which already started. The material used for this costumes sols all around is not suitable for conventional ironing.However, there are two things I don't like about this device. Firstly, the steam button needs to be pushed and hold in order for steam to come out, there is not continious steaming like other handheld steamers. Second, I'd really prefer to have some kind of a proper base you put it one once need to make a break or finished. It can't be put upright like usual irons or steamers. I use the one from the package, however, it doesn't get easily fit.There're many things that I like, though. Firstly, it heats up very quickly. Second, water tank is large enough to do occasional steming and brushing jobs and measuring cup provided is quite useful. Third, I absolutely love that there's a proper temperature control and you can actually switch the settings in a process. I also love that it does work horisontally and doesn't spill.Overall, five stars for the brusher, not for the steamer. I wish the description was more clear that it's actually a steamer brusher and iron rather than usual handheld steamer. However, it did meet my husband's needs on having some simple and effective dry cleaning at home. Saves money. Works well.

It is much much bigger than I thought. It is the same size as an iron on a frying pan handle. It is very good but not for travelling- unless you travel with a steamer trunk!

I had to return the steamer. It wasn't quite what I wanted altho it seemed a good buy. Return was made very easy which makes a great difference when selecting.

I had high hopes for this. It seems a good quality piece of equipment and quite sturdy but is let down by the fact that it is utterly useless at removing creases. I tried it on three items of clothing that were not even heavily creased. They were previously ironed and hanging in wardrobe so only lightly creased. This item just made them wet and they looked even worse than before I used it. I wanted this for that purpose - to use as a vertical steamer on previously ironed items from wardrobe as a quick refresh and also to steam my suit jackets. I think it's a waste of money. You have to keep pressing the steam button and the water runs out very quickly. It's a good idea that sadly doesn't work so I will try another brand.

Comes in a well package box (no wasteful packaging!) with instructions.The instructions could possibly be more clear perhaps with diagrams/photos as I don’t understand the “creaser function operation”.Tested the vertical use with steam on a curtain. In the photos certainly works well but the steam button does not provide consistent steam, it needs to Be pumped quite a bit.Iron function especially with the lint brush is very useful for when you don’t have time to get out the iron. Heats up very quickly and is very efficient - would be a good holiday iron as it is space saving.

Its light to us for elderly people

Having purchase this item in order to save me and my wife time, it appear that this was a big mistake in purchasing it. It cannot steam properly and only because I have kept it so long why, I have not return it. I do not believe that it is value for money.

Really like the clothes steamer. I needed something for taking away with me when I go for conferences or meetings away. Certainly does the job heats up quickly and gets out the creases nice and easy. The instructions are very easy to read it comes with a little water jug so easy to fill up I'm pleased with it
