The studs are good. The prongs are pointed so it's easy to get these attached to leather without the use of a cutting tool, I just push them right through and it works great with a single layer of leather. Two layers would probably require a small cut in the leather to be made. The prongs bend easily but not so easily that they are in danger of breaking. The only tool I used with these was a pair of needle-nosed pliers.StudsAndSpikes is a great seller. I ordered a 500 pc bag as well as a 100 pc bag of brass finish English cones, but there was a mixup and I got a 100 pc bag of each. They got delivered on a Monday at around 1:20EST and I messaged them about it. I checked back later that day and had received a response from seller less than an hour later informing me that when they read my message they immediately sent out the remaining 400 studs express delivery. A couple days later I received the package. Very prompt communication and problem resolution, my project's timeliness didn't even suffer. Despite the initial hiccup, I'm rating 5 stars, it was a real pleasure and I'll most likely be returning for business on my next jacket.
