Purchased this for garage gym that just so happens to be directly below nursery. I can still get a great workout in on my Grodex acorn bag will the baby sleeps uninterrupted ten feet above me. Unreal product. Worth the cost and I’ll only use ProMountings going forward. Great team (CEO very responsive to my questions).

The product would get a five star rating from me, but I feel misled. The images seem to all show a hanging metal hook piece on which to apply a chain to hang a heavy bag. When the mount arrived, it had no hook so I assumed there was a mistake. I emailed the seller and they said that accessories are sold separate. Where is that stated? And why would the photos all have the hook in it if it were separate? Anyway, the hooking device I had bought on my own manages to fit onto the mount, but only with difficulty because the space for the hook to go is quite small and the chain I had purchased on my own is large. Anyone considering this product should be aware of this. Like I said at the beginning, though, the actual mount is very good and I wish I could have given this a five star.

One thing the product description doesn’t mention is that it only fits 16in rafters. We happen to have 24in and needed to buy the extensions which are an additional 60 dollars with shipping. The product seems to be well made and high quality but disappointIng when you have to pay an additional money on top of an already expensive mount.Also like other customers said, you will have to furnish your own hook to connect to the mount. Not a big problem just again, for the price it should be ready to hook up.I’ll update the review after buying the extensions and actually being able to use it.

Just received this mount and have been putting it through it paces over the weekend. I searched and searched for something that would work well on the ceiling of my finished basement. I'm hanging a 6ft fairtex Muay thai bag from it and it has really good spring and bounce. The two main reasons I took a chance on this mount even though it didn't have any reviews was the design. It will mount to two joists where most ceiling mounts will only bolt to one. I liked the idea that is was splitting the weight and impact across two beams. Also the gas spring to reduce vibration was especially of interest since I didn't want alot of noise traveling upstairs and I didn't want a mount that would ruin my finished ceiling. This thing works like a charm. Only four holes for the lag bolts ( I recommend using a stud finder and drill pilot holes) and this thing was up in a matter of minutes! I pounded and pounded on the bag,heavy kicks punches flying knees to the bag and the gas spring bounced ans swayed with the bag absorbing it all! I asked the wife who was sitting upstair if she could hear the ruckus but alast my grunting whiling hitting the bag was noisier than any reverberation the bag was making, All in all and happy with the purchase, my only gripe is that the pictures show a swivel hinge and a s-hook but the set does not come with them.Pros:1.Easy setup and installation, perfect for finished ceilings.2. Gas Spring absorbs shock really well3. Looks great and customer service was excellent ( I e-mailed to ask about hanging different bags and was responded to very quickly, they even threw in a free spring to put on for one of my lighter bags)4. Really solid, this thing is heavy and you can tell is was made to last. All components had excellent fit and finish to them.Cons:1. Not the cheapest options, in fact the cost is about as much as my heavy bag itself, but you get what you pay for.2. Didn't come with a swivel joint or S-hook, for the price it would be nice if they threw one in.***UPDATEI was contacted by Jeff as Pro Mountings and they sent over a really nice heavy duty swivel and S hook free of charge, so I have to give them credit for being very responsive to their customers. It's been a month and the bag and mount have undergone daily beating by me and my training partners and is going strong. I still contend that this is the best investment for finished ceilings. I'll post pics as well.
