Good quality to make Pauling Vitamin C supplement
I've always been a believer in Vitamin C to prevent and get rid of colds. (Of course the most effective way to not catch colds is to not touch your hands to anywhere on your face until you wash them after being around people or objects handled by people.)Earlier this year I learned it is important for the heart since it fights inflammation.I studied the online research by Linus Pauling, who won multiple nobel prizes. He is called the Father of Vitamin C. I wanted to mix up his specific formula for a liquid Vitamin C supplement using l-ascorbic acid, aluminum-free baking soda, and water. The quality of this L-ascorbic acid is good. I try to remember to take my Pauling liquid formula every day with each meal. I know it works, because I started to get the sore-throat symptoms when I was forgetting to take it. Since it is in the frig, it is a case of out of sight, out of mind. It was that bad sore throat where it feels like a gland getting very tender and sore. I immediately made a fresh batch and the symptoms were gone after a couple of doses. It works much faster than the vitamin C pills I took before.By the way, his formula is in grams. You can use a free converter on the Internet to convert grams to ounces and also a converter to convert to tablespoons. I then cut his formula in half so I mix it up fresh more often (lasts longer than a week). Tip: make it in a large bowl first before pouring in a bottle because the baking soda really foams up. Store it in a brown bottle to keep the refrigerator light out of it. Vitamin C is sensitive to light. Also, keep your L-asscorbic acid powder in a dark, sealed container. I roll the bag of L-ascorbic powder in such a way to force the air out as much as possible, then place it in a dark container. If you don't have a dark container, just wrap the bag in foil after rolling the bag.UPDATE: Apparently it is better not to go for cheaper L-ascorbic acid. After I used all of this brand, I bought one from a different company that gave me double the amount for a little less money. When it arrived, I noticed a slightly different texture, but it was packaged beautifully in foil that keeps out the light. However, after taking it every day for two months, I was exposed to a cold. Next thing I know, I had the worse cold I've had in years. Obviously, the product was inferior. So I recommend this one on Amazon because I never got a cold while using it.

Good for vitamin C serum
I bought this for making vitamin C serum and I'm happy with the purchase. This is my first time buying L-ascorbic acid powder and I think the price is great (the best I found anyway) for the amount you get. It comes in a sturdy resealable Mylar bag. It states that it's 99.98+% food grade, naturally fermented and Non-GMO. I would hope these claims are true but you have to keep in mind that most products sold today as vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are synthetic isolates made with GMO corn from factories in China. Even IF it's not derived from GMO corn, d-ascorbic acid and l-ascorbic acid is still laboratory produced. The fermentation process in making natto from soybeans can destroy some of the modified DNA in GMO soy. Whether this is also true for GMO corn is a question to consider. We shouldn't be only consuming ascorbic acid anyway because real vitamin C as found in whole foods consists of many nutrients and natural compounds such as bioflavonoids etc.. Ascorbic acid is only one part of vitamin C and is synthetically produced in a lab. Our bodies need all the components of real vitamin C to be able to absorb and utilize all it's nutrients. Some good sources of whole food based vitamin C are acerola cherry, amla fruit (Indian Gooseberry), rose hips fruit and camu camu berries to name a few. It's of course better to get our vitamins from whole foods but if we feel the need to supplement, it shouldn't be with ascorbic acid. We've been duped with all the vitamin C/ ascorbic acid information we've been feed. Some studies suggest ingesting ascorbic acid may be harmful. One example: ascorbic acid has been proven to kill bacteria BUT since it can't discriminate, it also kills the good bacteria in our gut. Most of us these days know about the healthy gut/ healthy brain connection.(Other studies have more ominous consequences.)I WOULD recommend this for DIY vitamin C serum.

Vitamic C is great
Since we are not a big fans of sour flavor, we make fresh sodium ascorbate from it. Basically we put a bit of water on the bottom of the glass or a jar (no more than a third as it bubble over and spill), and add a teaspoon of this (4g vitamin c) plus half teaspoon either baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or potassium bicarbonate, and let it bubble out. Whe it stops bubbling, add more water and drink. Baking soda makes sodium ascorbate and potassium bicarbonate makes potassium ascorbate. Unfortubately magnesium bicarbonate doesn't exost in powder form, therwise we could have manesium ascorbate, which would be great as it would give magnesium and vit C at once.

Good price.
To fill capsules with “vitamin C”. It also works for cleaning things. Vitamin C used to be about 1 cent each for 1000 mg capsules. I make my own now. It is food grade.

Following Dr Gregers skincare guidelines using this product
Much less expensive than the fancy skin lotions that contain it.I read “ how not to age” and decided it was well worth trying to mix my own clean product and I’m glad I did.Def look at the book if you care about aging.

So good for you!
I did like this product, but it was a bit sour. I mixed it in with a combination of iced tea and lemonade to give it some balance. I didn't mind at all since this product is so healthy and good for your immune system. Im almost all out and I will be purchasing this again!

Magic for removing iron stains in pool
I used this to remove iron stains in my pool. After talking to 2 pool stores, a pool service company who wanted to drain and acid wash my pool, and having a specialist come to my house with no success I started looking online. I purchased this after reading the reviews. I wasn't sure how much to put in the pool so I turned on the pump and put about 3 pounds in my 13000 gallon pool. After a few hours the pool looked AMAZING! It did deplete my chlorine, lowered my PH and my alkalinity. I may have used too much, not sure. I added Alkalinity Up and adding chlorine daily until everything is normal.
