Milwaukee 5317-DE Dust Extraction

Does just what I need it to do and maintain OSHA compliance (and keep my lungs safe from Silica!)Someone said it doesn’t attach to the Milwaukee portable vacuum without having to resort to duct tape. I call BS. The existing nozzle on my pack out vacuum unscrewed and the adapter included with the dust extractor screwed right on. I even tried it out and had no problems with suction. I was concerned I’d have to buy the 8 gallon vacuum to make this work. I’m an electrician and have all battery operated drills, including the Milwaukee SDS Max M18 Fuel Hammer Drill. Plug in power isn’t always available and generators are too messy. This solution keeps me portable for any job I take on.

Was finally able to use this today. It was the talk of the shop, the envy of all the co-workers. Made the task of keeping track of the coring spoils super easy and clean up was breeze. It is 100% plastic, easy to clean, and works as advertised. Once guy was going to get his pops one for Christmas.

It is useful tool, I used it along with Milwaukee's new fuel wet/dry vacuum cleaner and milwaukee 2804-20 hammer drill, on concrete masonry wall to do several holes, and I was impressed with how clean the hole became without any drop of dust on the floor, the only drawback for this tool is, it falls when you about to finish the hole and you hit the brush with the drill chuck, since it only need a very little force to make it move down of its place.______________________I will update this review after using it along with sds plus and max Rotory hammer drills.

This product has completely eliminated dust and debris problems from drilling in concrete and/or masonry.

Doesn’t fit my Milwaukee battery powered vacuum. Have to buy a separate extension adapter to make it fit.
