Bandai Hobby #123 Jegan ECOAS Type, Bandai HGUC Action Figure

This was my first ever gunpla build, and it turned out great! It was very easy to assemble and looks great

The world needs more non-Gundam model kits. Period. As a fan of the RGM-79 and its decendents, the Jegan ECOAS type is the perfect example of Hajime Katoki's revamped mechanical designs from "Gundam UC" combined with Yutaka Izubuchi's original version from "Char's Counterattack." In plastic, the ECOAS Jegan is a solid build but it is not without the demand for paint to look just right. Highly recommended by CollectionDX for the average builder!

Excellent high grade. Anyone thinking of starting Gunpla should absolutely start with the newer HG kits. The Jesta and Char's Custom Zaku II are right up there as well. Stay away from the "Gundam The Origin" kits until your ready for more detail.

Really, it's just a differently colored Jegan with some new parts. There are even extra bits to configure it into a regular Jegan if you so will. But if you wanted a regular Jegan, why would you get this?The different stuff is nice, but maybe not as varied as some suits. The night-vision-esque goggles don't move up and down like the GM Sniper II's scope, they're separate pieces. It's very drab unpainted. You get Brown and lighter Brown. But again, if you didn't want that, you could just get a regular Jegan. It is a great companion piece to the Jesta and Jesta Cannons, but perhaps it's a little too niche. Still, I enjoyed building it and maybe when I get a regular Jegan this one will lose its luster.

I always liked the Jegan Echoas since I saw MS GUNDAM UNICORN and was looking forward to the detail but this genius has very good details in addition to changes of viewfinder and weapons and does not require anything more the range of details that you want to give. Just great.

as gunpla go, the models for Mass Production suits are usually sub-par. The same goes for this set a little - it's joints are incredibly stiff, it has less poseability than most of the more recent HG models, and several parts of the set (especially the bazooka) are incredibly difficult to pose with. the fact that holding the gun and bazooka is only possible by taking apart the left Grip Hand and inserting the weapon, changing the weapon for posing is inconvenient.however, the set is also surprisingly sturdy, and does look quite good. Buying this is almost entirely based on whether you care for Looks over Poseability.

Standard quality for a HG Gundam kit. Nothing out of the ordinary, and all parts were included. A must buy if you're into Gundam Unicorn, or if you're a fan of the ECOAS unit!
