Makes Crispy Noodles!
I'm using these rice noodle bands to create crispy noodles similar to the ones that used to be part of Vesta Chow Mein packs. Unfortunately Vesta had to change their product and use inferior "lentil curls". For me the crispy noodles were the best part!I break the noodles into 50cm long pieces and deep fry for a few seconds in reasonably hot oil until they are fully expanded. Drain off the excess oil. They come out a bit bland compared to the flavour of the old Vesta noodles, but drizzle a little soy sauce and a dusting of paprika and they are lovely :)

Not quite what I wanted
I have been looking for those crispy noodles from the packet chow mein packs of my childhood, these did crisp up, but we're tasteless. Very disappointed, I will try them as noodles in a chow mein next time I make one

Lovely thick noodles
I bought these noodles to make Pad Thai and Pad See Ew which really need these lovely thick noodles with more of a firm bite. These noodles were perfect and I would recommend for those wanting to try making the above dishes also. They are a little bit expensive but I made two wok sized dishes from the bag I purchased so I suppose it isn’t too bad.

make great puffed snacks
Really good value for money especially as these are hard to get from ordinary supermarkets and not every one has an ethnic grocer locally. I put them in the deep frier to make a puffed snack but if you want to use them as ordinary noodles, they take some cooking, like pasta. They need boiling for 10-15 minutes or until they taste to your liking.

The Real Thing
These are just the thing served by the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to.In case you don't already know, boil water in a pan, turn the heat off, and put some of these rice sticks in the hot water for a few minutes.I love the texture.I use a narrower version to make crispy noodles: simply break some, drop them in deep, very hot oil and be ready to scoop them out immediately.
