Allow me to help you with your missing drain cap dilemma for your old "Trusty Dusty". You can search your SHOPVAC model # all day long and....well best of luck so let me help. My unit is a 18+ year old master of all demands I have submitted it too. When the drain cap walked away replacing the unit wasn't even up for discussion seeing the current prices for a new SHOPVAC. I was going to use a baggy and rubber band if necessary. THIS ONE WORKS. It is the second one I have tried and thank GOD this one was the match. It doesn't look like it will but look at the picture and see for yourself. HAPPY DAYS!!!

This drain cap works differently than the original one. It has slots that allow the liquid to drain by just loosening it. You don't need to fully remove it like the old one.
