TASTE Specialty Foods Cream Of Tartar, 22-Ounce Jars

I bought this in large volume so that I could use it to clean my shower. For those who reviewed about it being half full, lets think about it... This IS cream of tartar- a powder that compresses. I would much rather have a bigger container so you can loosen it as you measure out what you need. I did weigh it when it came and it was 1lb. 8.5 oz. which is 22 oz plus the weight of the container. Mine was sealed just fine. By the way, my shower turned out beautifully :)

I do a lot of baking & it is hard to find large containers of it locally. Much easier to order from Amazon, no hunting in one store after another. I can order from home & wait for the mailman. It is also received within the promised time. I have purchased several of items for my baking needs from Amazon & have not been disappointed yet.

I bought this thinking that it would be a great deal. While for most people I'm sure it would be but amazon missed some very important information on the label. This is manufactured on shared equipment that also processes peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, and wheat. So if you can't have those items purchase with caution.

4 stars is being given because container was half full, product good but container could have been smaller than it was sent.

I have no way of weighing the 22oz to confirm, however this product came 2/3 full, and the seal was broken as if used before. There was no residue in the shipping package, so it wasn't a "leak".

Just like another reviewer on here, it came with the seal broken and only about 2/3 of a bottle left. First bad review I've given, but this is not a product that I would recommend buying.

Cream of tarter is very expensive in the supermarket but this product is reasonably priced. I use it a lot of cream of tarter in beating egg whites that I add to cakes to make them so much lighter. I generally don't use the egg yokes.

I saw this complaint in another review, but I ordered anyway because of the price. The container was powdery as if it had leaked, and was a little over halfway full.
