I just opened the box about an hour ago - Cleaned it with a Damp Cloth as in the Instructions - Then, as I always do I cranked it on the Highest Timer (7) and let it run through a full cycle to do the "Burn-In" - The very first time you sue a new toaster it will smell so I don't want my food to absorb that odor, if it does - pet peeve. First the Bad News - There is none - it's new so we'll see about Longevity. The Good News - The whole reason I selected this model as opposed to the Myriad of other choices was the FACT they it has a TRUE Bagel Mode - as in, it only toasts one side of the Bagel and the other side is slightly warmed - THANK YOU - How many Toasters have a Bagel Button and it Toasts both sides anyway - probably all of them except this one. And YES !, It does exactly that. Not only that but there's a bit of minor Genius in how it does it too - You see, it uses the Outside Coils for Bagels not the inside - This way the Toaster's Heat being on the outer side, somehow makes the toaster last longer according to the Manufacturer and others that have reviewed attest to it's longevity so I am buying that decision to design it that way. SECOND - I used it on my Bagel, Bagel Mode On, love the LED that lets you know that mode is actually on - I set the Toaster exactly in the Middle at 4 - and waited - Pops up, I remove Bagel to find that it had evenly toasted only the exposed sides, and the outer side was indeed just a little warm. You can hold it in your hand and put whatever on it and not get burned - This is huge for Bagel fans or any type of bread you only want toasted on one side. So, First Use, I could not be happier. I have this on my Desk at work so it will get used daily M-F. Anyone that reads my Reviews knows I am a straight shooter - If I Love It, Like It, Don't Like It, Hate It, I am gonna say it - No Sugar Coating, I Love this Toaster - So Far.

My old, 4 slice toaster bit the dust after about 12 years of faithful service. I was looking for a 4 slice replacement with extra wide slots. I toast mostly bagels and toaster pastries, so the wide slots are a must for me.This toaster seems pretty well built. When you manipulate the controls, they feel pretty solid. Not at all like a lot of the cheaper toasters out there. The controls are easy to adjust. Once you determine the setting that delivers your preferred degree of doneness, just leave everything as is, and you will get your desired degree of toastiness every time.The slots are plenty wide for even the largest bagels. It doesn't show fingerprints too much. And it's easy to clean, inside and out. This is a top quality toaster. I had never heard of this brand before, but I'm glad I took the chance.

Well, my wife and I love this toaster because of the fact that it has two completely separate sides. She likes her toast really "rare", and I like mine toasted pretty well. Not burned, but toasted nicely dark. This toaster is capable of doing that. She uses the left side, and has it set for her toast, and I use the right hand side, and have it set for mine. I like bagels quite often, as well, for breakfast, and it does the same job toasting a bagel as just toast. It's pretty much perfect every time. You have to remember, that if your bread is really dry, any toaster will over-toast it.The buttons are intuitive, and the re-heat function works well, too.It's a large toaster, so you need room for it. But if you are looking for one that works well, then I recommend this one.

This toaster is very classy looking in the stainless steel with the black. I got the 4 slice toaster as we always have company and I like everyone to eat at the same time and all the food to be warm when eaten. This is a wide slice toaster and will toast a bagel with no problem. I like that it will defrost because we normally keep our bread and bagels in the freezer as we do not eat them daily. It will also reheat. It is basically in 2 sections since both sides have all their own controls. Both sides also have a dial with 7 levels that you want yours to be toasted. Both sides also have their own cleaning trays in the back of it.

I will admit that I purchased this toaster primarily based on its looks. I just recently finished remodeling my kitchen, and wanted some prettier appliances to adorn my new countertops. This unit definitely does great in the aesthetic department - even my friends have complimented it when they've come over to visit (how often does someone compliment your toaster??)I did take off a star because I have noticed that the toaster's power settings are a little useless, as anything above a 2 will burn your bread. I do wish that it wasn't so sensitive, but its a relatively trivial problem in the world of toasters.

The first one I recieved, the crumb tray would not stay inside the toaster.I asked if others had this problem and it seemed maybe I got a defective one. I sent it back and they sent me a replacement.The replacement came quickly, but it had the opposite problem, the crumb tray would not come out of the toaster. It was jammed.I was a bit annoyed, but decided to keep it since I rarely remove the tray.I do like the wide slots, cool touch, and even cooking. I generally leave it on the three.I would recommend this toaster for the most part, just beware the crumb tray. Seems like something that could be easily fixed.

We needed a new toaster, and I purchased this one based on the reviews. I wanted something that was visually pleasing too, since we use the toaster every morning. This is very sleek and modern. Love the look. The toasting feature works well. I haven’t had to deal with burnt toast/waffles/etc. The cancel button is a nice feature, especially as it lights up in a blue color.The crumb try is the only complaint. It doesn’t go fully into the toaster. It hangs out by a half inch or so. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Maybe not. It wasn’t enough of a reason for me to send this one back.
