I did not purchase these on amazon, box that then locally at the music store
I used the Peavey low rider 18 to fill a set of JBL PRX 518 bins which have been converted to passive which came with a 1 ohm 2044e jbl low hz transducer.I am pleased with the results so far. This is not your Daddy’s peavey, these things sound way better than the old black widows. I have always respected peaveys ruggedness but their sound quality was lacking across the board, guitar amps, pa mains, subs. Etc... bu these low riders have changed my mind. I am running them parallel to 4 ohms through a wacky 2402, so right smack in the middle of the rms and program rating suggestions for the low rider. 30hz Hp filter, Dbx 223 with xover around 100hz.Sounds almost as good as the JBL maybe a little deeper and louder, and most likely would not notice, but the 2044e has a lighters mms (cone weight)and slightly better definition but the low rider has a solid low end the jbl doesn’t. 2044e’s at 2 ohms on one channel of the amp killed them, while I have the amp bridged(2x) the wattage pushing These low riders, and I am happy I did not spend the loot on More expensive speakers. I am pleased
