A very good book for theory. However there are no answers given for in text problems and the exercise. Answers are given for the objective type questions but no solutions

Not really that much helpful ... SN SANYAL is a better book.

It is the best book for theory.......but not for questions and I didn't buy it for questions........so I am not disappointed by this book.

The content of this book is awesome. Must read book for any iit aspirant....

Less question. It would be better to buy the original book of main author.

This rating is only for the version tailored for IIT JEE. Adaptation authors and editors have not done any justice for the title. They tried to sell this book under the name of legendary title like Morrison and Boyd Organic Chemistry. Very few questions from JEE format or any other engineering or medical entrance examination conducted in India. Original Morrison and BOYD book deserves 5 stars. On average 15 to 20 questions per chapter. In all there are 16 chapters. At times it is difficult to follow the illustrations due to black and white images. One must read chemistry books that have color illustrations. There are two such books. One is Clayden book. It is not suitable for IIT JEE preparation because it is more useful as a reference book for chemistry undergraduates and post graduates. The other book that is available with color illustrations is of wade's organic chemistry. It is suitable for self study for IIT JEE. International edition costs 1500 rupees in india. For IIT JEE it works as primary material and reference material with plenty of original exercises. Plenty of solved problems is another hall mark. For practicing problems, IIT JEE adaptation of Solomon's Organic Chemistry is good. Other title one may wish to consider are Organic Chemistry by RK Gupta, Akshay Choudary, and the other of DK Singh.

This book is written by Allen carrier Institute, kota, teacher who is teaching organic to student's at kota center.So I refer all those students who are preparing for JEE from home should refer this book for organic.
