Doesn't seem to work
The cheap, blue Thrip Leafminer Trap (pack of 5 for $6) works much better. This trap hasn't caught a thing and the leaf miners are still present. Still can't believe I paid $20 for this.

Traps did help
After trying sprays, powders, neem oil, and everything else I decided to give this a try. Would have tried it earlier had the price been more reasonable. Anyway the traps do capture many of male leaf miners and it does help to reduce the leaf damage to the citrus tree. I still had to pick off those leaves that did have larvae eating away.YES I would buy it again, it does help control the pesky insect but its not a 100% cure. I would say it has helped reduce my citrus tree leaf damage by 65%. The box says use one trap for each 5 acres but thats an over streach. I used 1 trap per tree (1 box comes with 2 traps). One other note the traps effectiveness at attracting the male leafminer last about 35 days.

Ended up buying Neem spray anyway
These traps really do catch the moths (the males only I guess?) but i had MORE leaf miner trails after setting up two traps in my lime tree... I think it ATTRACTED mners to the tree more so than before. So after giving it 2 weeks and removing DAILY leaf miner devastated leaves, I gave up and sprayed the tree with Neem oil and so far i haven't had to remove daily damaged leaves.. so fingers crossed that works. Don't waste your money...it seemed to make my problem WORSE.

Finally, something that works.
My citrus have been covered with leaf-miners since I started the orchard five years ago. I've sprayed Neem and Spinosad. Those slow them down, but never completely solve the problem. Used a systemic poison that worked - but only for a short time and I have no desire to keep feeding my trees poison. Three months ago I installed this trap and wow, never had trees perfectly free of leafminers before. Thick flushes of new leaves and not one leafminer trail. It has worked for 90 days so far. I just read the cover and it says to replace every six weeks so I'll add a new trap.

Does NOT attract Citrus Leafminers!
I bought a package of this product and a box of the competitor ISCA citrus leafminer traps at the same time. I have 3 trees: 2 tangerine and 1 large lemon tree. I used 4 total, 2 of each brand: I placed one of each brand in the lemon tree about 8 feet apart in areas showing CLM activity, then one of this brand in one tangerine tree and one of the ISCA brand in the other tangerine tree. It's been 6 days and EACH of the ISCA traps have over a dozen leafminers stuck in the glue. This brand has ZERO leafminers in either trap! Absolutely nothing at all in either trap. It's quite a stunning difference. I am returning these traps for a refund since they don't work and buying another package of the ISCA traps. For over $9 a trap with tax I deserve something that catches something!

Works as described, Received an open box!
The product appears as though it will perform its function.I was surprised upon opening the shipment box, which was in perfect shape, that the actual product box was torn open. See pic. Not sure what the seller would like to say, or do, about that.

Disappointed that did not work as well as in the past. Only trapped one leafminer and our tree has been infested. Will have to find something else.
