Great quality for a reasonable price! Follow directions for measuring waist and order based on waist measurement. Some of the other reviews seemed to be confused with sizing but I ordered on exact waist measurement and kilts for my two young boys (ages 4.5 and 8) fit perfectly and look wonderful. They’ll will be able to wear these beautiful kilts for a few years because there is an adjustable belt tab with 3 holes on each side of the waist (so you get some wiggle room).

Kilt runs very small

I recently ordered this for my 12 year old son and expecting the sort of thin fabric, quicky workmanship and plastic belt tabs that I have seen on other mass market kids kilts at this price point. So I was just pleased as punch when this arrived and was made of a nice medium weight acrylic "wool", indistinguishable from the real thing, the belt tabs are a nice heavy bonded leather and the workmanship is as good as that in my husband's much higher end kilt. I like the somewhat stiffened reinforced waist and the fact that the lining is properly tacked down, so it doesn't stick out. They even basted the pleats in 3 places to ensure it got here perfectly pleated and ready to wear as soon as the bastes were removed. I will be buying another soon to replace the much less nice kilt that my younger son has.Just FYI, this ships from the UK and arrived about 2 weeks from the date it was ordered, which I thought was very reasonable.

Fantastic starter kilt for littles. Make sure to measure your child correctly before ordering and go by the measurements, not your child’s age. My son loves his kilt, looks great, and it fits perfectly.

Almost indistinguishable from the Irish national tartans. He wore it to the Irish national festival and it held up to everything he put it through!! Playing, dancing, running-even a couple Junior Highland Games events. Great feel and he said it was so comfortable he wants to wear it everyday 😂 (he's 5 and he'll be able to let out the waist a bit to wear this as he grows for a while 😁)

The fabric is thick and the stitching tight. The price is absolutely reasonable.

Looks great for a cheaper quality kilt. Cooler for summer events as well. It showed up almost 3 weeks early, if I went by Amazon's expected date. The tracking number doesn't work, so don't bother with it.
