Lucky Rod!!!! Or not?
Pulled the plastic off and go shed this bad boy for 20+ hours on the Kalama for Steelhead. Nothing!!!Handed it over to my buddy one day, first cast - bobber hits the water - BOOM!! Gone! Started in on my friend for losing my gear on his first cast. Yea, ended up he had on a nice 15# keeper.Lame. It was MY rod. I set up this rod, fished the dayum rod for hours, showed this guy where to fish and where to cast, and this guys bangs out a keeper his first cast? Then guess what. The jack hole tossed the fish in the cooler and went home later that night. Didn't even have the kindness in his heart to fillet the thing out and eat some fresh steelie for dinner!!! What the hell?!?Rod seems to work great though. I landed a nice keeper a few weeks later.

Very good service
There is nothing I don't like about this fishing rod. I have owned a few of them

Rod broke while fighting a fish first time being used!
I took my new rod out for the first time this past weekend. I was pretty impressed after fighting and landing a couple steelhead but that ended quickly when the rod snapped clean right past the junction while fighting the third fish. I was shocked because it was brand new and I didn’t have a whole lot of pressure applied. I was expressing my shock back in camp and another guy asked is that a X11. I replied with a yes and he said “yeah, they’re known for that! I wish I’d known that prior to buying!

4 stars for value
Deffinetly great value in this rod. I’ve been using it for steelhead and browns on Lake Ontario tribe and it has outperformed my expectations of a $100 rod. Great backbone, good fast action, and I’m a fan of the reel seat placement. The guides leave a little bit to be desired, but I guess costs had to be cut somewhere in order to offer this rod at this price. Side note, this rod is Made in China. I didn’t know Lami outsourced rods, but found out by the sticker on the butt

Perfect Salmon Steelhead Pole.
This is exactly what I want in a salmon/steelhead fishing pole. Light, fast action, sensitive and powerful. What more can you ask for? The cork handle is beautiful and comfortable as well. You won't find anything else comparable in this price range — It's Chinese made unfortunately — so I suppose the price will be going up soon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Get 'em while you can.

A Genuine Salmon Super Stick!
Wow, what a great rod... and at a bargain price. I was shopping for a salmon/steelhead rod for fishing Oregon & Washington waters. I needed a longer rod with backbone, but did not want to sacrifice sensitivity. At my local tackle mega-shop, I looked at many rods -- from value-oriented name brands to expensive boutique sticks. Then I picked up this 9.5 foot, 2-piece, medium-weight Lamiglas X-11. Honestly, after a very careful comparison inspection, several flex tests, and balance tests with my reel installed, I could not see or feel any significant difference between this rod and the G. Loomis displayed right next to it at 4 times the price. The Lamiglas action and balance is first rate and the fit & finish are superb.I was very happy to pay Amazon $80 for this rod. I now have a serious salmon stick that casts and fishes as nicely as any of the very pricey rods I own. This Lamiglas just feels good in my hands -- and it's a real salmon catcher. I'm completely impressed and could not be more pleased with this excellent Lamiglas X-11. Check out these fine rods for yourself.

It appears to be an excellent Steelhead fishing rod
It appears to be an excellent Steelhead fishing rod; the description here at Amazon however is incorrect !! The correct Lure weight on this rod is 1/8-5/8 and not 1/4-3/4 which is what I wanted. Before ordering I checked it on the Lamiglas webside to be sure I was ordering what I wanted. It appears to be a well constructed and finished with nice guides fishing rod, so I'm anxious to get my first steelhead on this fishing rod to see how it behaves under stress and stress it will have !! very good price also, compared to others I saw before ordering this one. I do have two others however, an 8'6" and a 9'. This is a 9'6".

Not sure about the quality here.
The first pole I had to send back damaged in shipping...my husband went out fishing today withthe replaced pole put it together heard it crack on the tip part then it snapped off! Mind you he drove 2 hours to go fishing...thank god he took extra poles with him!!

Heavy weight, average quality guide rings
It is a well made rod, blank looks good, even, and good finishing. The 86mh has a lot of backbone, but lacking of delicate tip. It feels like a stick. It is heavier comparing to okuma SST, Fenwick hmx, and shimano Claus. It feels like a okuma celilo with lower grade guides. Those ceramic rings feels uncoated, no smooth at all. It shouldn't break any line, but it is unacceptable for a lamiglas rod.
