Best tape ever created by far
Urine packing tape is easily hands down the best packing tape on planet earth. It is the only tape I use. I first was introduced when picking up deliveries at an old job. The boxes weighed 50+lbs and I used to use a single piece of tape on these giant boxes and they would hold no problem. It has a slight "stretch" for a tight seal and never unsticks once on the box.

Uline tape is the best in my opinion
Uline tape is the best in my opinion. It's super sticky and you do not have to rub it with your hand to make it stick. We have moved twice to Hawaii from Mainland US twice since 2012. We used Uline brand tape to seal over 200 large heavy boxes and they all stayed securely closed. Some of the boxes were never opened and they are still closed securely. The tape is thinner than others, but it's the box strength that matters most and as I have said we have not had any problems with this tape cracking, peeling off, or breaking.

Fantastic Product, Uline bulk prices without having to order bulk quantity.
Needed a few rolls of S-423 for an upcoming move, but not the 18 minimum qty from Uline. Was a little hesitant to buy from a reseller, due to reviews from others having gotten old stock, but these rolls look and perform like new.A lot of people complain that it's thin (2mil vs 3+mil with other tapes) but the thicker a tape is, the less conformable it is to a surface, and the more difficult it is to get full adhesion on anything but perfectly flat, fully supported items. When it comes to packing and taping boxes, this stuff is miles ahead of Scotch Heavy Duty shipping tape, which had been my go-to until I came across some S-423 at work.It does have a strong, vinegar like smell as it comes off the roll, but it goes away almost instantly. I honestly don't mind it, but I can see it being off-putting for a lot of people.

HOLDS STRONG
Great sticky tape this is what the pros use Fedex etc.,

very sticky, good adhesion, but plastic is cheap and splits too easily.
Very sticky, good adhesion, but plastic is cheap and splits too easily. I think its better if you double it up for use on medium or large packages. Quantity and length is great value.

This used to be my go to shipping and packing tape but then they "improved" it...
I used to use 3M tape years and years ago but, the quality declined as it got thinner and thinner and the adhesive became less permanent. So, I switched to U-Line and for a long time, it was great. Thick tape with fantastic adhesive that always laid flat on packages and boxes because it wasn't super thin. Well, not anymore...now it's thinner than the 3M and wants to roll onto itself when using a taping gun because it has no stiffness, stability or structure. The adhesive is garbage now as well, the edges roll up from the box. Where I used to be able to use 1 strip of tape, I've not got to do 3 lengthwise and 3 across the box on the top and bottom to keep it closed. I was always willing to pay more for the U-Line tape because of it's quality but, I won't be buying this garbage again. Not sure what to use now, this "new and improved" version is really disappointing. They should have stuck with the proven "old and inferior."

This isn't what I was hoping for. Adequate but not the usual Uline quality
Uline produces some robust packing tape, and as my last roll of shipping tape was running low I ordered more. I didn't realize there was a switch in what was offered. My old roll was S-14564, a solidly thick packing tape that really did the job. I look it up, it is 2.6mil. The current order (probably too late for a return, I didn't open the box right away) turns out to be S-423-6 and is only 2.0mil thick. That makes a big difference in how much tape you use. It means doubling up strips to be sure packages stay closed. It's a shame this switch happened, it tarnishes the company reputation.
