Might actually be 100 lbs, or I might be severely out of shape. Either way, sleeping in this thing is like being hugged by a tamed bengal tiger. All of my roomates took turns trying it for a spell and I even caught one of their girlfriends napping in my bed. I'm not sure if it is a pass at me or the blanket- I'll keep you posted. Either way I would highly recommend it. I'm 6'7 and fully stretched out this thing covers me from my toes to about shoulder height when sleeping my back.One downside is that everyone wants to use it and you won't be able to comfortably cover 2 people with one blanket unless you're spooning.

If you have wondered if the price is worth it, let me assure you that it is.It's heavy. Don't underestimate what thirty pounds feels like. Getting it straightened out and covering me took getting used to. Once you are under it, moving is wonderfully difficult. It is everything I hoped for.It's not hot at all. I have a hard time with easily overheating under the thinnest of blankets but this doesn't build up as much heat as I expected.When you first get it you'll be tempted to just use it as it is. Take time to tie the burners and seat the inner blanket firmly in the cover. If you don't, it'll end up sliding down around your feet and pooling to one side.Now I'll tell you the shortest version of my story so maybe you'll see if it can help you.I have kicked in my sleep and jerked everything from fingers, to my head, to my whole body my whole life. It's not restless leg or periodic limb movement disorder. It wakes me up around thirty times a night on a bad night.I have Asperger's syndrome.I have ADHD.I have PTSD from years of sexual abuse, which causes crippling fear and anxiety.I have fibromyalgia.I tried medicine and it never made me sleep without making me feel like I was high as a kite. Lyrica caused me to have depersonalization to my own reflection, which scared the crap out of me.Of a daytime I wear compression garments to help anxiety, like a thunder shirt for humans.The first time I crawled under the blanket I fell asleep within minutes and stayed asleep for six hours. I woke feeling rested and serene.Every time I take a nap I use it. It's bliss.I use it all night, every night.I quit taking all the medicine for my fibromyalgia and anxiety within days because I no longer need them.In short, it has truly changed my life.

I don't write reviews, but my wife was rather insistent. It's only been one night since receiving it and she urged me to let everyone know how wonderful this thing is. She slept better than she has in years. My work here is finished... * flies away purposefully in tornado*

this is a magic blanket. It seriously causes such a heavy and relaxed feeling after laying under it for just 10 minutes. I cannot lay under this thing if I don't want to feel sleepy~ Knocks my guests out too LOL. Buyer beware.... it's a true therapeutic blanket and should be treated as such. Truly excellent for depression, insomnia, anxiety.

Yes, I was skeptical about paying over $150 for a weighted blanket. We have an adult son with a long history of sleep troubles and this has made a great difference in his quality and quantity of sleep. I bought one for my husband and now we are trading off at night as to who gets to use it (largest size doesn't cover a king sized bed) The weight (we got a 20 lb blanket) just settles on you and you can feel your frayed nerves just calming down and coming together. My sleep is deeper and I wake more refreshed after using the weighted blanket. I compare this to when you would sleep under 4-5 cotton quilts at grandmas house and the weight was just so comforting. Sometimes it gets a bit hot at night so if you "run hot," you may not need another blanket. Making the bed can be a little bit of a workout so watch your shoulder if you have a bad shoulder. Other than that, I really recommend this as a non-pharmaceutical solution to sleep challenges.

I have been diagnosed with Panic Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. This blanket is wonderful and does the job calming me when I am stressed. It is large, large enough to cover both my husband and me on a king bed. It IS heavy to lug around though, but that is to be expected. I got the 15 lb one and it is perfect.There is one BIG problem though, my husband has hijacked it! He has restless leg syndrome and found that this blanket GREATLY reduces his symptoms and allows him to sleep soundly. Looks like I am going to have to order another one ;)

No longer do I wake up at 2am ! Sleeping through the night. Has made an extreme difference in my feeling rested after a nights sleep!

I've had this blanket for over a week. It is the best investment for sleep (next to a good mattress and pillow). I had heard about weighted blankets and thought about making my own, but honestly, I knew I'd never getting around to making it. Since I have added the blanket I have noticed that haven't woke up in the middle of the night and I feel like I fall asleep faster. The outer fabric is super soft and the inner blanket is cotton and holds the glass beads. I was concerned that the beads would be uneven and lump up on one side, but they haven't! The blanket has stayed even with no lumping. There are loops on the inner blanket and a button closure to connect to the loops to keep the blanket inside the cover evenly, none of mine were connected and it hasn't shifted, so I have not used them.Overall, the blanket is heavy enough that it feels like a giant hug. It helps my muscles relax, and I feel like I fall asleep faster and stay asleep. It is expensive, but I totally think it is worth it!

When I first got this blanket I loved it. Weighted blanket is great to sleep with, and this model has a very comfortable cover.The problem is after about 6 months, (I am guessing) the stitching inside the blanket gave out. right now my blanket's weighted beans has all been leaked to the edge of the blanket. The center of the blanket currently have no weight, and the sides are very heavy. It no longer gives any benefit of a weighted blanket.

Edit after 7 months of having this blanket:The inside pockets have given way and the weighted beads are bunched on the outer sides of this blanket, rendering it quite honestly useless. Really really disappointing for the amount of money I paid for this. If you're willing to spend $300 bi annually then I guess the rest of my review is relevant.ETA: I contacted the company for a replacement under their one year warranty and they did send a replacement when they had one available. I am still very much skeptical of the quality of this product and can't help but feel like the blanket is going to do the same thing. The first one also came with a lovely linen drawstring bag to put the blanket it, my replacement came in a plastic zip up bag, why the change to more plastic in a world with enough plastic? The change makes me believe the blankets are being manufactured faster now to keep up with demand. I guess only time will tell if the blanket holds up.Only reason I am tacking on 2 more stars to my 1 star is because this company actually has exceptional customer service, it's just a shame the product doesn't seem to hold up.------------------------------------------------------------Original Review:I did not choose this blanket on a whim, I shopped around for a weighted blanket for a good two months and finally decided to go with this blanket for a few reasons:1) This is one of, if not the largest, weighted blankets on the market2) They were literally the ONLY company that responded to inquiries (extremely fast, almost instant responses)3) Can never go wrong ordering from Amazon.This blanket is extremely well made, the pockets filled with individual beads are quite small which makes for very even weight distribution while sleeping and moving at night. The soft minky cover is to die for, it's SO cozy and sewn amazingly well, has a very large zipper so it's not a struggle to get the inner blanket to fit inside. I have issues waking up frequently at night and restless leg syndrome and the first night I used it, I did not wake up a single time until morning.If you are shopping around, like I was, stop here and order this blanket because there's probably nothing better and you will not beat their customer service.

I never bother to write reviews but this is an exceptional purchase. I was nervous to spend so much money on something as simple as a blanket with weights but honestly it's the best purchase I have ever made. It's incredibly well made and comfortable. Doesn't move around or have any strange smells. The money not difficulty I have had is trying to sleep without it when I have to stay away from home. It is not advertised as such but I have found it really helpful for me regarding nightmares and thrashing around, it eases the anxiety as you sleep and keeps you in one place. At first I purchased the 25lb blanket but found it too heavy and returned it for 20lb one. The returns process was incredibly fast and easy and I really appreciated that, I would absolutely purchase this and other items from the brand. It comes in a lovely bag and then boxed and it feels as much like a luxury item as it is. If you are on the fence like I was, take the leap, I've had it a few months now and wouldn't be without it.

This is a lovely high quality item. The reason for my lower stars is because I suffer with chronic pain and this did not suit me.I did extensive research into the weighted blankets and the size required for my weight and the size required for 2 people sleeping under it. I chose this as it matched all the prerequisites.I read that the better sleep you get under these helps your chronic pain as the sleep in more restorative. Whilst I agree that the sleep was improved I was in more pain as my body didn’t seem to like the weight of the blanket.I’ve read a lot of reviews on my search for weighted blankets and improved sleep but no one warned of the possible effects for chronic pain.This item is lovely and had it not been for my pain issues I would have loved it. I just wish I had been able to read a review like this when I was researching literally to forewarn me this may not help then pain.
