Rode BoomPole Micro Telescopic Microphone Extension

For my audio work, which essentially consists of documentaries, corporate and institutional videos, this is the perfect bang-for-the-buck boom pole. While it's not very long, it has enough reach and packs down small enough that a one-man operation can manage it - though having a dedicated boom operator will obviously be much better. The low cost is also a huge advantage for someone just starting out, as I was when I bought this. It is also quite robust and has held up to somewhat rough treatment quite well. One note - you will want to invest in a shock mount system to manage handling noise, which is an added cost over that of this product.Surprisingly for its size and name, it can balance a Rode NTG4+ or a Sennheiser MK-416 in a blimp with a Dead Wombat cover. You will, in time, be better served with longer, lighter boompoles, especially those with added features such as an internal housing for cables or a carbon-fiber construction (both of which this pole lacks). But for less than ₹ 4,000, you get an outstanding product that will get you shooting and recording right away - and that is, by far, the most important thing.

The product is good, packing was great. It's nice and has a firm grip. Feels kind of solid.But only one thing to consider.. IT IS NOT A NORMAL BOOM POLE!!! It has a micro thread screw on the mouth, which is to be noted and considered at the time of buying. You may not be able to use your regular mike holder clip. You have to use the smaller one or use it with a socket attachment.

A great, affordable product for an age old need. The boom pole feels sturdy while also being light weight. While it isn't a hollow structure for wiring a cable inside, this is likely what allows it to compress to such a manageable size for transport. It extends to a great length for just about any shot you may need. Being so light weight is great for your boom operator with a comfortable nonslip grip.

Très belle perche de qualité professionnelle. Longueur repliée : 84,4 cm - pleine extension : 203,4 cm.Le système est simple : Il faut "visser" les branches pour qu'elles se bloquent, les "dévisser" pour les libérer, mais il y a un coup à prendre, un juste milieu à trouver (Si vous dévisser à fond, ça se bloque à nouveau), mais ça deviendra de suite instinctif. De toute manière, vous avez des écritures discrètes au bout de chaque branche pour vous aider à la replier ou étendre.La mousse est vraiment très agréable au toucher pour un confort maximal durant toutes ces heures de prises de son.La légèreté de l'ensemble évitera les crampes ou autres fatigues prématurées des bras, ce qui est encore un excellent point.Je l'utilise avec une suspension et un micro Rode NTG-2 (léger lui aussi) et il n'y a vraiment rien de négatif à noter à son sujet.J'aurais aussi aimé que les attaches (pour fixer le câble XLR) soient incluses.

El boom llegó en tiempo y forma, pero el empaque estaba lleno de polvo y algo maltratado. El palo extensor tiene ligeras marcas de algo que parece pegamento cerca del tornillo y ligeras marcas que parece como si lo hubiesen estado moviendo. En fin, es la primera vez que recibo un producto que no parece nuevo. Por lo demás, todo bien. El boom es mucho más ligero de lo que parece y el material se ve bien.
