I have been using a whey protein everyday for quite some time. I have been using what most people would consider the "gold standard" and tried basically all of their flavors that sounded worth a try. After buying other Amazon branded products and being pleasantly surprised with how good they all have been I finally decided to pull the trigger on trying their whey protein.The own pwr chocolate cake batter tastes really good. It really does have the same smell even as a box mix cake. As far as tatse is concerned it is a 5/5.It mixed well with just water also. I use 2 servings in one shake and use a small shaker, it took maybe a little more shaking to get it mixed as compared to the gold standard but I think this is more with the serving size. For this own pwr it is 37g a serving. For the gold standard it is 34g. So it is possible the extra 6g for two servings was the reason for it taking a little longer.For nutrition, I would need to use this product exclusively and for a long period of time to really be able to tell, however as long as it actually has the 25g protein per serving and is 140 calories per serving that is fine by me. All whey protein has naturally occurring bcaa's. So that is no different here.Overall Amazon has provided another very good product, at a competitive price. I will be buying it again. My only hope is that they expand the flavor range.

Ill be honest i want expecting much from an in house brand. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tastes. I've mixed it with water, milk, and even coffee. Most whey protein powders do the same thing add protein to your diet. Going over the ingredients it's pretty basic stuff and the amino acid mix is in line with most major brands. Here's where it gets good. Gluten free (my wife is sensitive) and cleared by informed sport.com to be banned substance free (for those who get tested in competition) up side you can get or from Amazon for about the same price as everybody else, it mixes great, tastes good and is banned substance free. I have noticed that my recovery time is shorter but i can't say it's the protein but when you're over 40 anything that works is a step in the right direction. It's worth the try

Seriously it's good protein and it's $14 for 28 servings. Why spend $40 on a sticker stuck on the same container? no seriously most protein powders are processed at the same facilities and are sent to name brand companies to be packaged with their sticker on it... just buy the stuff okay

I have been using MuscleTech Premium Gold whey protein which usually costs about 25-30% more than this Own Power product. The reason I switched other than a lower price is that the MT product is a little hard to mix with water, retaining some pasty blobs in the mixed product. Not so with the OWN PWR product, which mixes quickly and easily and results in a more uniform consistency. It also has less of an overly sweet taste. Delivery to CA took a while but worth it. I have tried other inexpensive whey protein powders and this is the best I have tried and comes at a fair price. I will be buying more if it.

I love the chocolate flavor in this brand. I will never buy the vanilla flavor again. It had a weird medicine or chemical type smell to it and when you would drink it, it tasted just like that smell.

I bought this in preparation for VSG surgery, and I found the taste and texture to be acceptable, if a bit gritty...AFTER the surgery, however, I found the taste to be very chemical-ish and unpalatable, and I know it was me that changed and not the powder. It is decent for the price, and I cut it with other powders to minimize the flavor, but I won't be purchasing again.

I try not to be too picky, I mean protein is just something I slam after working out or whatever, I never drink it out of a martini glass with my pinky out! but it has a distinct bitterness, taste like added BCAA’s... or Windex🤷‍♂️

I absolutely love this stuff! I have never like chocolate protein powders, but for the price I figured I’d try it! I was blown away by how good it is! In addition, it doesn’t settle out over time like many other brands I have tried! Today I had to leave a mixed one sitting for like 3.5 hours and it still tasted great! I love that it’s lower calorie, high protein, and that it’s one scoop (I hate two scoop servings!)I would highly recommend this to anyone even if they have tried other chocolates that they hated!
