Too Cute, Self-Published Work Desperately Needed Good Editor
The author had a great idea for a book then blew it by being wayyyytoo cute with excessive name-dropping and far too many references to 1940s America culture. A good editor would have red-lined about half the first 20 pages, at which point I gave up....

"That Woman Is Trying To Kill Me!"
For Firesign Theatre afficianados, Ossman's book adds another layer to the stack of lenses refracting history to their peculiar focus. Even if you have no idea who the Firesign Theatre is, "The Ronald Reagan Murder Mystery" is a lot of fun. Imagine P.G. Wodehouse adrift in James Ellroy territory.

Firesign for everyone
The author knows his '40's radio culture! It was the perfect setting for a murder mystery. Of course, I've been a Firesign fan since college.

"Alright,Georgie...do you remember all of those lovable, stupid Peorgie and Mudhead movies you made"????
One funny book. From the fourth dimensional world that only The Firesign Theatre can bring into view.
