Great bed, Awesome price, Super easy assembly!
I knew I wanted a black queen size bed for my guest room but I had a lot of trouble finding one (in-stock) in town and had company coming. Yikes! Amazon came thru with super-fast shipping via UPS and a great product.I've never purchased a large furniture item online sight unseen but I took a chance because of the positive reviews and the great price.I ordered this bed in ebony and the finish is nice. It has just enough shine - more than a matte but less than a high-gloss. Putting it together was easy enough for me (5'4 female) to do myself. All of the screw holes were pre-drilled and the screws go into metal not wood which makes for easy assembly. All the pieces were well labeled and the directions were simple to follow. Everything lined up nicely and I simply placed the box under the end I was not working on to hold everything in line. I assembled this myself in under an hour. One thing I do want to mention is what came with the bed since it was a little unclear from the other reviews. I ordered the Nomad Platform Bedframe in Ebony. I received one tall headboard, one short footboard and two side rails in ebony finish. I ALSO received three slats in an oak color to go under the mattress. I didn't like how the mattress felt being put right on the slats because there was too much space in between. I simply went to the home improvement store and had three more slats cut and put those down. Now, the bed is great and comfortable even without a box spring under the mattress.I would definitely recommend this product! Thanks Amazon!

Very nice bed for the price!!
This is a great black bed for a relatively low price. I was looking at PB beds and they were ridiculously expensive....and there were a lot of bad reviews out there about shipping/damage issues that PB was ignoring. I then started looking on Wayfair and all their other similar companies and found this exact bed except it was well over $400. I didn't order right away, hoping Cyber Monday would offer a price reduction, but no such luck. So I looked on Amazon and once agan they came through so I ordered it right away. It was delivered in 3 heavy boxes with lots of packing around everything and not an ounce of damage. I laid it out on the floor to assemble the headboard which took me about 20 minutes, then moved it all into place and put it together. I am a 67 year old woman and did not have a single problem with assembling. I put my box spring and my heavy ComforPedic mattress on, made the bed and slept like a baby! I totally love that the footboard is much lower than top of my mattress. One of my big dogs got his leg stuck between the mattress and footboard (which was same height as mattress) on my previous bed and we both freaked out. Won't happen again!!

The queen panel bed in ebony finish
First of all, in case you came to this bed via a search that also includes reviews for the King and Full versions of this product, like I did, the queen panel bed in ebony is what it says it is. It comes in three boxes: the headboard, the footer, and the slats.Second of all, this is NOT a panel bed like described. There are THREE slats... not enough to hold a mattress on it's own. Also, the headboard begins far too high to be used as a panel bed anyway--you would have a gap above your mattress before your headboard started. We intended to use this as a panel bed, but ended up going out and getting a foundation the same night we put it together so we could sleep on it.We got a 9 inch foundation, which puts our 11 inch mattress up pretty high, but we like that. Most people would probably be happier with a 5 inch foundation as it's easier to get in and out of that way. This bed, so far, seems to be fairly supportive of my size. I'm a 6' 3" 340 pound man. I'm a big guy. The bed has not fallen apart under my weight as of yet. And sex doesn't destroy it either. There has been one snap of wood when sitting on the bed, but it wasn't this bed, it was the wood in my foundation. I'm not sure if that's due to the foundation sitting poorly on the bed, or if it's due to the foundation being poorly made, or if it's just because I'm a heavy guy. With that said, when we put our foundation on the bed frame, it did seem to be slightly small and short compared to the space provided for it. Not sure if that's normal or if this bed is built slightly bigger than it should be for a queen.Overall, I'm happy with it. It looks great in our bedroom.Oh, one last thing.. beware the edges of the footer. I've scrapped my leg on it (through pj pants), and my wife has given herself numerous bruises.Update 5/2/15:Three years later and I am now 370 pounds and my side of the bed sags tremendously. I can't blame the quality of the bed, but the bed is the source of the sagging. The center pole holding up the middle slat has bent and broken off, and we've been supporting it with a support the same height at the pole and about half the length of the slat. But despite supporting the bed that way, the ridge that holds the mattress/foundation that runs along side the main siding's supports have broken and this is what is causing the sagging.Overall this bed seems very well built, but ultimately could not support a very large man. My wife's side of the bed is holding up perfectly.

Very Nice Frame - Exactly What We Wanted
My husband put it together in about an hour. He said it was very well built and is solid wood. I also think it is sturdy. We both like the look of the frame a lot. It is a true black and just what we wanted to go with our nightstands and the classy look of our bedroom. The headboard is a nice size for accommodating several pillows, so I plan to buy more. I think the frame has three slats that connect from side to side on the bottom to support the box springs and the mattress, and they have adjustable height knobs on the bottom of the support legs (one for each slat) that touch the floor. I bought some furniture coasters at Home Depot to put under them, because we have wood floors, so it is good to have them in advance. One note of caution- do not lay tools on the headboard when you are putting the bed together like my husband did, because he scratched it a little bit, but luckily the scratches are barely visible and low, behind where the pillows will be, so I was relieved about that. All in all, I am so happy with our choice. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this frame.
