Cast aluminum. Very light, feels fairly strong, and works well.I'm concerned about the longevity of aluminum - especially cast aluminum, so a star off for materials, but otherwise seems okay.

This tool performs it's intended function.I use it more often than pot/pan insulated pads.

Made of very light aluminum, these do not impart any feeling of strength or confidence and their shape makes them difficult to use to pull out an oven rack or even a baking pan, a primary usage. All in all, a waste of money.

They work okay on a midsize stoneware pot, but have trouble with a solid grip on the smaller pots. Also they seem a little flimsy for our taste. We were hoping for a more solid (heavier) gripper.

These hot pot tongs are as advertised. They are very light. I am looking for a replacement for the BSA hot pot tongs that are no longer available. If these hot pot tongs had a hook at the end of one of the handles for holding the bail handle of a pot or dutch oven, they would be perfect for camping. That's the only reason I dropped one star.

Love this item. Makes taking pizza off the conveyor so much easier!
