Trouble free and compact
This is my second maxone, chosen this time for backing up my computer to Time Machine. It's so simple to use, just plug it in and you are set to go. I think it's great for price and performance.

Working well so far but needed reformatting
The hard drive is a nice looking thing and so far is functioning as expected.However, I purchased the for use with my LG smart TV. The formatting (exFAT) on the drive was not compatible with the TV and for some reason the TV could not reformat the disc because of its format. This is really odd to me as I would have thought that didn't mater. I have had to format the drive on my laptop to the correct one (FAT32 or NTFS).

Xbox one
I'm from the SNES generation so the idea my kids console couldn't play the games he had because of storage baffled me considering what we paid.I looked at Xbox proprietary hard drives but they were expensive. This seemed to do what I needed and was very cheapLong story short the thing plugs into the back of the Xbox and you are away. All games playable. No storage issues. Had it plugged in for about 6 months now no errors or issues. Can't comment on write speeds etc I'm not that clued up but if you are here looking for something to make your kids Xbox have more memory this is the beast.

Love it. Works perfectly, stores everything I need! Loads from my laptop at 40 - 50 Mbps averagely. I'm a non-tech person and that's fine for me!

be aware , you will loose your files
I should have checked other negative reviews before buying it ! It just stopped working without a reason, Mac doesn't recognise it and most of my stuff is on it, completely rubbish !

I have purchased 3 so far. Very compact. Easy to store and so far work well. Fast enough for my needs
