A solid, humane deterrent that’s easy to maintain.
I’ve had some persistent visitors to my trash can in the night—raccoons and this device has helped clear them out. The setup was super simple, and I really like it because it’s solar-powered, so I don’t have to keep swapping batteries. The adjustable frequency dial is nice—I had to try a couple settings before I found the one that worked best, but once I did, it noticeably reduced nighttime critter traffic. It covers a good area (my small backyard plus the side fence) and keeps running through rain just fine. It’s not a magic fix, but with a bit of trial and error, it’s a solid, humane deterrent that’s easy to maintain.

So far not worth the money...
I am giving this item a preliminary one star due to its poor design and extremely cheap execution/build quality. The design severely limits where you can place the item as there is zero adjustability as to where the emitter can be pointed. I purchased this in hopes of keeping birds out of my fruit trees which means I have to mount this fairly close to my trees. Number one, the trees produce a lot of shade so mounting the unit on my fence alongside the trees won't work since the solar panel is not adjustable and it will be in mostly shade during the day. Being able to swivel the fixed solar panel would solve a lot of my mounting issues. Number 2, the emitter speaker is also fixed position and cannot be aimed toward my trees. For the money I would expect a LOT more features.I will update my review once I see if this thing actually does what it claims to do.

Seems working for our tomato plants
I’ve been using this solar ultrasonic repellent in my backyard for a while; it’s seemed working okay. We used to get many birds messing around our tomato plants, that’s pretty much better since I set this up. It was easy to stick in the ground, charges with sunlight. It’s not loud to us humans, but when I listen closely the ultrasound is obvious; it clearly bothers the birds to keep them away. I’ll get one more for my other fruit plants.

Works Well Once You Patch the Loose Battery
When I received this solar ultrasonic repeller, I was initially impressed with how compact and lightweight it was. Unfortunately, my excitement dropped the moment I took it out of the box—it was clearly rattling around inside. I opened the battery compartment and discovered that the internal battery had come completely loose. It looks like it was originally secured with just a small piece of double-sided tape, which clearly wasn’t strong enough to survive shipping. To fix it, I used some Gorilla tape to secure the battery in place, and that did the trick. Once stabilized, the device powered on and started functioning properly. It’s a bit concerning that such a key component would be attached so poorly, but thankfully the fix was simple enough for anyone handy with basic tools.Functionality-wise, I do think this device performs well. I placed it in my garden and it consistently emits an ultrasonic tone when motion is detected. The sound is noticeable and seems to activate reliably with animal movement. I particularly like the "animal dial" feature—it lets you tailor the frequency range based on the types of animals you want to repel. That’s a thoughtful touch, and I appreciate the flexibility. As for long-term durability and effectiveness, I’ll need more time to see how it holds up. So far, it’s withstood some rain without any issues, and I haven’t noticed any more loose parts or malfunctions. The coverage seems decent for a small garden space, and the solar charging is holding up well between partly sunny and overcast days.Overall, this could be a solid repellent device—once you get past the flimsy battery installation. If you’re comfortable doing a bit of DIY to secure the battery yourself, it might still be worth trying. I’d love to see the manufacturer improve the internal construction because otherwise, this product has promise

Keeping Critters at Bay
I’ve had this set of two solar repellents in my backyard recently, and they’re already doing their job. The squirrels that used to raid the bird feeder daily are nowhere in sight. Haven’t seen a rabbit nibble on my lettuce either. It’s easy to set up. I just stuck one into the ground near the garden and hung the other one by the shed. The lights and sound combo definitely make animals think twice before stepping in. Glad it runs on solar too—less to worry about. It blends in well with the yard, and I like that it only kicks in when something actually moves nearby.

Balcony Peace
Birds and raccoons kept making a mess on my balcony. This ultrasonic device solved the problem instantly. The solar-powered feature means I don't have to worry about batteries. It quietly drives the animals away without any harsh chemicals. Now my balcony is clean and I can relax outside without interruptions.

Good coverage
I bought this to help keep stray cats and the occasional skunk out of the side yard. Installation was easy—I mounted it on a fence using the slots in the back. It runs on solar, which is convenient, but during long stretches without sun, it helps to give it a boost with a USB adapter. One thing to note is that it’s not instantly effective. You’ll probably need to test different modes depending on the type of animal and your yard layout.

Helpful for Keeping Animals Out of the Garden
I placed this in my backyard to help with some animals that kept coming around, and it’s been working pretty well so far. It’s easy to set up, and I like that it runs on solar power so I don’t have to worry about batteries. It’s lightweight but stays in place, and it doesn’t look too noticeable in the yard.
