it's not what I got, change what you get,there is no am just fm. I GOT RID OF THE PACKING MATERAL, THE NEXT DAY I TRIED TO PROGRAM THE RADIO AND CAN'T GET AM , I WAS SO UPSET I PUT IT IN THE TRASH. I WILL NEVER ORDER THIS TYPE OF ITEM FROM AMAZON, BUYER BEWARE!!

I was looking for a CD player for the car as my unit gave out, its a 2015 so if I replace it, I have to replace the whole center control counsel. This works out in my favor.1. Size, this is a little bit bigger than what I thought it was, but its a nice size and easy to use.2. CD Functions, its plug and play, it has a remote that works well from across the room.3. The player looks like that of the Late 90s , you know retro is back in style.4. Quality, so far after 3 weeks of use, about 4 to 5 hours a day, it has held up. So the build on this is better than some I have looked at.5. Bang for the Buck, 7.5 out of 10. Reasons- Battery operated it kills them fast, about 2 1/2 hours for the CD, and about 7 for the tape deck/radio. The minus 1 star is for the fact that this uses 6, yes 6 C cell batteries, I didn't have any, and I had to get some. It comes with a plug, found my inverter for the car so I am now using that.

I got both the smaller more compact version of the boombox and this larger version by the same company when they were offered in the Vine Program because I have two different places where I can use each of them. Not to mention the fact that these are portable and can go anywhere with you that you want to take them. Well, I don't have any cassette tapesanymore, so I couldn't test the audio quality for those but I do like the ability to play CDs and also use the Bluetooth feature for listening to podcasts or YouTube videos.I received the smaller version first and when I tested it both with the Bluetooth and with playing a high quality cd, I was blown away by the quality of the speakers and the sound considering how small and compact the cassette CD music player is. Also the radio andvreception sounds great. And I'm way out in the country with no radio stations anywhere close to me so the fact that it is picking up FM radio stations that are so far away with just this little antenna is impressive. The same is true for this larger version but the audio quality is even better than the smaller one. They both go up to level 30 on the audio but the overall frequency range of this larger one is better than the small one. Surprisingly the small one feels heavier than the large one although I'm not 100% sure that's true since I haven't weighed each of them.Another nice thing about this one and the smaller one is that when I'm playing a podcast or video on YouTube, the audio is synced exactly to the video on the screen that I'm watching. I have a set of high-end Bose bookshelf speakers in my kitchen that I have always used for listening to podcasts and watching the video on YouTube on my phone but it's always been frustrating with those bose speakers because the audio is never synced up with the video so there's always a lag of at least one to two seconds. I always thought the problem was with my phone Bluetooth not broadcasting the Bluetooth in sync with the video but it turns out it's the Bose speakers themselves that are creating the syncing issue. These much less expensive portable boomboxes sink with the audio perfectly every time! And the sound quality is just as good as the Bose speakers except for the fact that those are two separate speakers so the stereo quality is better with those because they're separated by a good distance. On these boomboxes you don't get that kind of separation of the left and right speakers because they're only a few inches apart. Nonetheless, for the quality of sound, the portability of these, the fact that the radio reception is phenomenal, and the sound quality for playing cds, podcasts, YouTube videos, and radio is very good, certainly not audiophile quality but very good considering the size, I highly recommend both this larger form factor in the smaller one.This larger one though does have better sound quality.Oh and I just made a discovery! With my Samsung phone, I can sync up my Bluetooth on two different devices at a time because I paired with both the large Boombox and the small one and that way I can get a stereo effect with the two boomboxes in the same room separated just like my b o s e speakers. I didn't even know I had that feature on my phone!Oh and another feature of the large one is that it has Auto tuning capability where the smaller one is manual tuning. So this one you can go through all of the radio channels with the single push of a button and it will save them to Memory when it gets a strong enough signal. So that's a nice automatic feature of this larger one. For whatever reason both the large and small one are the same price point at this point in time even though the large one seems to be a much better quality system.

The media could not be loaded. Aside from the updated media capabilities such as Bluetooth, USB and TF cards, this Boombox looks very old school. I don't think this is an accident. It definitely reminds me of the Boomboxes I and my friends all had back in the 90's.I've moved recently and my cassettes are still packed away somewhere. I couldn't find them so I haven't been able to test it yet.Instead I've made a video of this M-Amazup multi-function Boombox using a CD.Audio is loud enough to be heard easily, even in outdoor settings. The audio quality is good and well balanced however, bass is a bit weak. Honestly, it was the same with my 90's Boomboxes.The layout of the controls is very intuitive. I didn't even have to use the manual except to figure out the FM auto-tuning function.Concerning the FM auto-tuning, it stops even on very weak stations. Many of these are too weak to be listenable even with the antenna fully extended. It can save 20 stations but it takes a while to skip through the weak ones.The remote requires 2 AAA batteries and handles all functions that are on the player itself. It works well.The Boombox operates on either AC plug (detachable and included) or 6 "C" batteries. Using AC power, it's very light but with 6 "C" batteries, it will weigh somewhere between a smart car and a hood from a '59 Cadillac. I may be nitpicking but a built-in rechargeable battery would be a better option. I'll just use it indoors with wall power.Be aware that the Volume control on this deck is not linked to the Bluetooth Volume on your phone. They work independently of each other. While testing the bluetooth audio I turned the volume on the Boombox all the way up (to 30). Then used my phone to control it up or down. When I switched to FM mode after that test, it was BLARING. It's a good thing that the volume controls are easily accessible!For it's cost I feel this is a good deal.
