Great minimal wallet!
This is my 2nd minimal wallet. For years I carried a wallet in my back pocket and it caused a lot of pain at time. I like being able to carry a small wallet in my front pocket, but only if it’s very small and functional. The first one I tried was small, but it was made of cheap materials and was looking rough after a few weeks. Then I tried the Hiesgie. In terms of size, it’s perfect. It fits comfortably in my front pocket and I hardly know it’s there. Here are some actual specs from I took with the wallet in hand. The wallet is 3 1/2” by 2 1/4”. It’s just a little larger than the actual cards you will be carrying. Without anything in the wallet is 5.5 mm thick not counting the money clip, which brings the thickness to 9.5 mm at the thickest part of the money clip. I put 7 cards in my wallet, which brought the thickness to 12 mm or 15.75 mm at the money clip. As for the weight it’s 2.2 ounces or 62 grams when empty. With cards it’s 3.5 ounces of 98 grams. (My phone weighs 8 ounces and is considerably larger.) If you want to carry cash, you will nee to file it twice, so you won’t want to carry too many bills. If you haven’t ever used one of these before, it does take some getting used to. It isn’t as easy and convenient as a standard wallet. When you want a card that is in the middle of your stack of cards, you pretty much have to take them all out, then put them all back. But once you limit your number of cards you really need it isn’t so bad. This Hiesgie wallet is very affordable and seems to be made of good materials. We’ll see how it holds up over time, but at this point I would highly recommend it!

Slim but not very easy to remove cards
While this wallet does keep things slim, I do think that it could be a little cumbersome to remove cards when you are at the register. I don't have large hands but I find myself fumbling to get the cards spread out a bit to get the card that I want to use. This wallet is held together with bands. I could see this being a point of failure in the future after stretching for a while but I'll find out in the future. My previous wallet had a mechanism to push the cards out and stagger them which I prefer but there are more points of failure there.

Very nice for the price
My brother is trying to get me to buy a fancy minimalist wallet that costs almost $150. My answer to him was a resounding “no.” It’s hard to keep money IN a wallet if you spend all your money ON the wallet. This is an ideal solution. It’s easy to load, easy to carry, and stays put in your front pocket. The materials are solid and appear high quality. It was very easy to figure out how to load it, and it holds all of my IDs, cards, and memberships easily. The money clip has a tight grip on my cash, and I can slide receipts in between the cash easily. One thing I’ve noticed is that some back pain I’ve been having has lessened. My brother claims this is from not sitting on a wallet - I can’t say whether that’s true or not but it makes sense.Having carried this wallet for a few days, I’m quite happy with it. I don’t need that $150 one when this one does the same thing.

A Contender for Minimalist Carry, But with Room for Refinement
The PMLC-23 Minimalist Metal Card Holder presents itself as a sleek solution for streamlined carry, and in many respects, it lives up to that promise. The black aluminum finish is quite appealing, giving the wallet a premium feel that belies its straightforward function. Its compact dimensions of 3.5 by 2.2 by 0.2 inches and a weight of just over 2 ounces certainly align with the minimalist aesthetic, making it an easy fit for a front pocket without creating an unsightly bulge. The inclusion of RFID shielding technology is a welcome and increasingly necessary feature, providing a solid layer of protection against electronic theft of card data. The integrated money clip, while a simple addition, is effective at keeping a few bills organized and readily accessible. However, where this wallet aims for innovation, it also introduces some head-scratching design choices. The "innovative card sleeve" with its two small black silicone loops, intended for durability, raises some concerns about their long-term resilience. While they appear sturdy initially, the constant friction of cards being inserted and removed could potentially lead to wear over time. This is a crucial component for card retention, so any perceived weakness here is worth noting. Another oddity is the internal ridging on the plates; its purpose isn't immediately clear, and it doesn't seem to enhance card security or ease of access. Furthermore, for a wallet designed to be minimalist, it feels disproportionately larger than the credit cards it houses. This excess space around the cards, while minimal, detracts from the true "minimalist" experience and can make the wallet feel a bit awkward in hand compared to other, tighter-fitting alternatives. While it certainly looks nice, a few design tweaks could transform this from a good effort into an excellent one.

Simple design, sturdy materials, and slick alternative to pricier options
Coming in significantly cheaper than the big players in the slim wallet space, I was skeptical about this wallet. However, after using this for a few weeks, I can say functionally, it's comparable to a Ridge wallet, without the fabric straps to get all chewed up and ratty looking. The elastic bands work well and I haven't seen any signs of them degrading or wearing down, which was my initial concern. Card capacity is decent - I have about 9 cards in there and could fit a few more comfortably. It's easy to use, and the money clip is convenient. All in all, and nice budget-friendly alternative to the more expensive options out there.
