Great quality
The quality of this helmet is excellent. It is very heavy though, so beware if you can't balance a heavy hat. Also, it ships covered in a light layer of oil, so don't get it on you when you are removing the helmet. I'm very happy with the quality of it and would definitely purchase it again.

A+ quality, from the leather inset to the brass trim this is a great buy. Put it on and feel like a part of history.

Good choice for buyers on a budget
The item offers a great budget entry option for any collector or reenactor interested in the Imperial Roman era. Emphasis on BUDGET.Judging by the condition of the liner, and the way the helmet has been assembled, it is clear that this piece was designed for DISPLAY purposes, not for actual wear. The internal helmet liner (to buffer the user's scalp from the metal of the helmet itself) is a token, flimsy system of fake leather, which has been GLUED into place. It will tear loose the first time you wear it, or place strain on it. There is also no system in place to tie down the cheek flaps, which makes the helmet even less practical for active wear. Sizing is on the XL size (my usual hat size is a 61cm, and this helmet fits me with some space to spare; upgrading the liner is highly recommended if you want to actually wear this for more than 5 minutes at a time).Overall a great buy for displaying, but it will require some reworking and rebuilding internally to be functional for LARP or reenactment use.

Infantry “Queen of Battle “
Evening legion,I just receive this product on ordered on 12 August today being the 17th so pretty fast delivery 🚚 coming from India, this helmet came just as picture shows on advertisement, looks like good craft work as if it was made to supply Julius Caesar legions fight the Gauls way back when 👍,of course it has a lite coat of oil on it,but not bad at all, smell like rifle oil,for those like me that retired from the army noes the oil smell on your hands,I choose the helmet because it has a removable horse hair top thing, which is in 2 pieces, the horse hair part and the shaft which slides into the middle of the brass helmet part on top,the 2 string attachment on the helmet hold it in place, also I bought it because it has a helmet liner, and strap, which I felt has to be better then cold steel sitting on your head. The lining may just be glued around the inside, no sure yet I’ll have to look better, well worth the extra 10 dollars over the others I was looking at. Cons the box it can in was in very bad condition and all taped up,also the helmet was in bubble wrap and I thought for sure it was all bagded up,but surprisingly it had only a few abrasion on the Crome plating,it should have a stronger box 📦 and foam incasement to prevent damage and save on returns, and helmet string for adjustment on top for head siezes is very short but easy fix with a shoe lace. Great product all in I’m just given it its first review, I’m looking at the Roman armour now, I think straps may be better the the hook attachments to hold the top parts to the chest parts. I wrote this review so now they jacket the price up 12 dollars, the horse hair doesn’t stay in place it’s carboard held together , with tacks the chin strap,is very junk leather, the helmet even with, foam added to top inside and front by for head,it still bounces all other the your head, head liner is glued in place by cheap glue that’s coming off already,it should have a place to attach a leather string to hold cheek guards together under your chin, this product takes more work then worth to use for reactement , not worth the price

Looks really great. Look for sharp edges.
Finish looks great. Head piece was a bit fiddly to install. Pops as a conversation starter.
