Q: Just received mine, the sole plate is not completely smooth to the touch, it seems there are minor scratches on the coating. Is this normal?

All irons should have a solid, and most importantly, SMOOTH sole plate. Otherwise it will damage the fabric being ironed. I'd send it back.

Q: Wall Mount for Oliso Iron ?

it does not come with a wall mount

Q: Does this iron have a plastic cord? saw a youtube review from some sewing gals down under ans theirs showed a braided cord!

Mine is smooth and not braided. Standard coating on the cord.
